Aug 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I have attempted multiple times to report Sync 3 screen issues with this vehicle. Began as intermittent issues. Screen would go off, get hung in reverse, unable to use touch screen, etc. Now, it is completely useless. Not able to use touch screen, not able to connect phone thru Bluetooth (making phone unusable), basically not unusable. I have no access to maps, any controls on screen. There's recalls on Explorers for this exact issue in 2020, etc models, so I am positive this same issue relates to mine. This is a very costly part to repair (we were quoted over $1200.00 by local Ford Dealership My car was barely out of warranty when this issue occured.

Jul 2025 STRUCTURE Subject: Urgent Complaint – Recall Repair Delayed Due to Unavailable Parts (2019 Explorer) To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a safety-related recall/service campaign for my 2019 Ford Explorer (VIN: [XXX] ), specifically concerning the roof rack trim detachment issue (Customer Satisfaction Program / Recall #20N11 or 21S22). I visited an authorized Ford dealership to schedule the required repair, but was told that the necessary parts are currently unavailable, and no estimated delivery date could be provided. It has been an extended delay, and I am concerned about the continued safety risk this issue may present. As this is a known issue affecting many vehicles, I respectfully request: •A clear explanation of when the required parts will become available •An expedited resolution or alternative dealership that can complete the repair •A formal record of this delay for safety and warranty documentation purposes Please treat this matter as urgent. I would appreciate a prompt response with a timeline and any appropriate next steps. Jul 2025 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Car would not start at certain times without warning. Sometimes putting us in an unsafe location. Finally vehicle was in a public parking and would not start and had to be towed to Ford dealer. The fuel pump and some other issues failed. Repair shop said it would happen with low gas, but we had over a half a tank. Total cost of bill without tow was $2132.02. Vehicle had 45,015 miles.

Jul 2025 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM On 3 separate occasions my car has stalled when driving. All three were after driving for several hours in hot weather. 2 of the times I had a quarter of a tank of gas and pressed on the gas to pass someone and my car stalled out immediately after. Both very dangerous scenarios. 3 time just this week. Driving for over 5 hours in hot weather conditions, but 3 quarters of a tank of gas and stuck in traffic and the car just completely stalled. Again a dangerous scenario on the highway. All three times after waiting for about 45 minutes the car will start again. Sluggish at first and then drives normal. It’s giving indications that it could be a defect in the low pressure fuel pump that has been a recall in other 2019 ford explorers, but my vin #is not listed as one of them.

Jun 2025 POWER TRAIN [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] ⸻ To Whom It May Concern, My name [XXX], and I am writing to file a formal complaint against Ford Motor Company and multiple associated dealerships for gross negligence, financial harm, and discriminatory practices related to a recall repair that began in 2023 and has yet to be properly resolved. I own a 2019 Ford Explorer, VIN [XXX]. In 2023, I brought my vehicle to Wayne Akers Ford in West Palm Beach due to a torque converter recall. Before the issue was fixed, their transmission technician was fired, and I was redirected to Mullinax Ford. That began a two-year ordeal of being passed around between dealerships, misdiagnosed, and ignored while the original issue persisted. Alpaca Ford on 10th Avenue witnessed the malfunction twice but refused to repair it. I was told by Lenny, the Service Manager, and the Advisor Manager to “monitor the mileage” and report back — a delay tactic that eventually allowed them to deny my repair once the issue persisted at under 30 miles. When I returned with proof, they claimed the warranty had expired. This was caused entirely by their inaction and misguidance. To make matters worse: •I was forced to pay $1,300 for motor mounts that didn’t resolve the issue, despite telling them repeatedly it was unrelated. Ford covered a portion, but I was left to pay $897 out of pocket. •Tim Olsen at Wayne Akers Ford has refused to provide my refund and is now ignoring all calls and communication. •Ford’s corporate customer service has been involved from the beginning and failed to intervene effectively — despite acknowledging the situation. •I recently left a Google review describing my experience at Mullinax Ford, including my repeated denial of loaner vehicles while white customers were offered them freely. After posting the review, I was retaliated against — they refused to continue working on my car and told me to “come pick it up” without completing r INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Jun 2025 STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER In February I was driving to an appt. when the side panel on driver's door broke & started flying around & hitting car. (It has the numbers to enter the car without a key.) So I had to roll down window 1/2 way, grab the broken part & drive 18 miles to town, holding the part so it wouldn't fly off (in 30 degree weather!) So I drove by the Ford Dealership where I got my car. They thought there was a recall on that item so I've been waiting. I just saw on the NHTSA site there was a recall for that item on 2016-17? Explorers, but mine is 2019!!! Would you please add the 2019 model to that recall? Also, I'm STILL WAITING (1 1/2 years later) for the recalled trim pieces around the front windshield.

May 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Difficulty getting the vehicle repaired in a reasonable time or without charge. Initial recall indicated parts would be available in the latter half of 2024. It is now mid 2025. Ford dealership indicates parts are not available for recall, BUT parts ARE available if I'd like to pay out of pocket for repairs. That seems fraudulent and the A-pillar trim on my vehicle is obviously defective and coming off the vehicle. This is hazardous and Ford should not be able to charge for repairs and not comply with the recall repairs.
