This is a safety feature that can be quickly enabled and I'm having trouble finding a dealership that will enable this, guarantee the work, and get me safely back on the road without charging me $500 for a few minutes of work.

Dec 2022 STEERING Electric Power Steering (EPS) failure. If this had happened while driving there would have been no way to control truck. The dash read "Power Steering Unavailable Service Required". Dealer tested truck and said EPS unit would need replaced at a cost of $2,345 for just the part and would be at least 45 before they could get the part. This truck only has 55k miles on it.

Dec 2022 SEATS The 8.4" UConnect Screen has a bubble along the whole top of the screen due to delamination. This causes the stations to randomly jump from station to station and if you make a phone call with the connected phone, after you hang up, it will start calling random people. You can disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for a few minutes, but it starts back within a day. Upon Google search, there are multiple issues with this same problem with this screen along all lines of Dodge and Chrysler products.

Dec 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION The radio/camera screen is delaminating causing a bubble on the top of the screen. The bubble is causing the touch screen to randomly activate to different systems without being touched. If the rear view camara is activated when backing up it turns off and on causing a dangerous situation. The screen also constantly switches to different systems while operating the vehicle causing a major distraction.

Dec 2022 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I took my truck to the dealer Early 2022 for the recall. they couldn't help due to the shortage on the parts. I kept going every month because my truck was stalling. they kept telling me to leave them my email address and they will contact me when they get the parts for the recall. on August 30. I was driving on the freeway. I lost power. my truck couldn't go over 30 then declined to 25 then to 20mph. My truck start heating up really fast. I pulled a side and tow it to the dealer. Dealer stated that my crankshaft was cracked. I truly believe it cracked due to the recall. My high Presure fuel pump was defective and it cause my truck to overheat and crack the engine. I need Help. I ordered another engine which cost me $13,000.00 without the Instulation, now I have to wait till the dealer get an engine and they will charge me the instulation on top it which it will probably end up costing me near to $20,000 This happen all because of Dodge defective part from the recall

Dec 2022 AIR BAGS I was in an accident, I hit a bale of hay doing 65 mph that a local farmer lost off the back of his feed truck. My air bags DID NOT deploy. I never had any warning lights on my dash warning me to service air bags. Thankfully I wasn’t severely injured and walked away with no more then a sore and bruised body and shaken up nerves.

Dec 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER Hello. We have a RAM 1500 serial # 1C6RR7MT1JS204636 , the UConnect radio screen is doing some delamination about 1/3 of the screen from top. At 1st no big deal but since about 2 weeks it changes radio station by itself and for the past 3 days it keeps calling people non stop , I almost rear ended someone today trying to stop the calls . I know my truck is not under warranty anymore but I feel there's a big safety issue for me and my wife right now. This radio is a tool for us ( GPS is the most important feature on it ) . We got very scared my wife and I today. Don't know if I'm the only one having this problem but we'll really appreciate if FCA can take care of us.

Dec 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VISIBILITY/WIPER The dash command center for the vehicle failed and has become delaminated and cannot be programmed for any functions such as hands free, defrosting, heating, clock, navigation, voice command or any other related necessary safety features. The windshield sweats and frosts over on the inside at temperatures below freezing with no way to defrost without command controls. The vehicle was taken to the dealership and the problem documented but nothing was offered other than replace command center at owners expense. There were no warnings of anything going wrong.

Nov 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER Have read other complaints of similar problems. The problem started with our 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 several weeks ago with the navigation system changing screens to points of interest, then yesterday everything messed up. Upon starting the truck the touch screen seems to work fine for about five minutes, then it starts jumping around from one screen to another. It randomly tries to route a destination, the radio changes stations, tries to call phone numbers, and the climate controls jump all over the place. No heat, no air, and most alarming is that the defroster does not work. The problem persists while sitting still and driving. There may be other problems, but the touch screen does not respond. All this is very distracting and dangerous.

Nov 2022 ENGINE The engine seized, lost power and braking control while traveling on the freeway at approximately 70 mph during morning rush hour traffic. I had to merge into the ditch and ride it to a stop to avoid collisions on a busy freeway. Immediately called a tow truck to tow the vehicle to the dodge dealership closest to me to assess the problem. During the assessment the mechanic noted a seized motor due to the timing chain skiping and adjusting when the valve opens and closes, thus sending a valve through a piston and destoying the engine. Dodge has known about this issue with the 3.0 ecodiesel and all that they suggest is to sell it and buy a different truck. There are plenty of testimonials found if searched for, some that did not have as safe of an ending as i. The only warning light that was displayed was the 'check engine' light for the recall of the high pressure fuel pump. Thus truck has been scheduled for moths to have the recall replaced. The part is not available, I was ensured it was safe to drive until the part was available. I even called crystler ram to request the part, and they stated this part is not available at the time.

Nov 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM When I start and operate the vehicle, the radio display prompts me with a question, "Do you want to adjust the clock? YES NO". Then it disappears. Then it reappears. I cannot select an option, and I cannot reset the radio to solve the problem (instructions from RAM). It is a serious driving distraction - It happens whether the vehicle is parked or moving. When I press the button to turn off the display to escape the distraction nothing happens. When I research this issue online I see how common the problem is. RAM directs owners to replace the entire radio at a cost of thousands of dollars but the radios are back-ordered due to the number of radios affected.

Nov 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The (touch screen display) keeps asking me to change the clock settings while driving causing me to lose my navigation screen and I need to constantly (reach over to push the no button over and over). Dodge is aware of this problem. This is a safety issue since I rely on the navigation system, and it keeps interrupting me while driving. If I ignore the message, I have nothing else available to control many functions of the screen and navigation system.

Nov 2022 FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact then stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. Additionally, the contact stated that on multiple occasions while attempting to start the vehicle, the engine failed to turn over. The contact stated that a message appeared indicating an electronic fuel pressure failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the EGR cooler, EGR valve, and exhaust manifold needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and offered to cover half of the cost, but the contact declined. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.

Oct 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER The UConnect is malfunctioning, and my vehicle is available for inspect upon request. However I have many videos of the issue. It is exhibiting a “phantom touch” where it will click on buttons and change settings. My life was in danger when it would turn my windshield defrost on and off/change the temperature causing the windshield to fog up. It completely binds me while driving and I have to attempt to pull over and manually wipe the windshield. It is also constantly pressing the SOS button and calling 911, and I have to explain to the dispatcher that it is not an emergency/my truck is calling them (it’s a federal crime to call 911 repeatedly without an emergency). It has been confirmed by public forums and by another known customer. I am having it confirmed by the dealership today. The item has been inspected by those in the vehicle and getting inspected by the dealer. There is no lights or error code associated with the issue.

Oct 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER U-Connect, navigation, back up camera, screen, ac/heat controls, phone, radio, wipers, seat vents/heat all effected....navigation will not stop navigating when canceling route, back up camera stayed on over 3 hrs while I was driving which lit up everything behind me, phone when connected calls random numbers when I'm not even trying to make calls, radio jumps from station to station with out being touched. Wipers periodically come on by themselves when not raining and not turned to come on, a constant cluck when radio is jumping from station to station. Seat controls just decide when the want to heat/cool seats on their own. This should be a safety recall as trying to keep the phone from dialing 911 and other numbers you must take your eyes off the road, the back up camera remaining on consistently is dangerous as well. Dealer says about 1500 to change it out.. Recall this system please!!

Oct 2022 AIR BAGS The contact owned a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle crashed head-on with a Ford Focus. There were no warning lights illuminated. The driver sustained injuries to his lower back, neck, and head, and medical attention was provided. The passenger seat occupant sustained injuries to her chest, lower back, and head. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot and then to a body shop. The contact called the local dealer but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was contacted and sent an investigator to evaluate the vehicle and reported that while driving at 55 mph there was not enough G-force for air bag deployment. The failure mileage was approximately 59,000.

Oct 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Touch Screen on radio has peeled up and is bouncing all around from navigation, heat/air, radio and will not power off. Cannot use any function properly or connect the USB functionality. The dealership informed me it was a problem with all 2018 models and we would have to replace the entire screen. This is our opinion should be a recall on the model.

Sep 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The touch screen in my vehicle, that controls everything from heat& A/C, GPS, radio, heated seats/steering wheel, and also connects with my phone. It automatically changes constantly without warning causing me to have to switch back or turn off what it may have turned on. It changes my directions when I use it to go to unfamiliar places forcing me to briefly take my eyes off the road to navigate the screen.

Sep 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SEATS,VISIBILITY/WIPER The Uconnect 8.4" has a delamination problem that causes the screen to act like it's being touched. This causes distractions because the seats vent/heat turn on/off. The radio station changes frequently. It makes calls from your phone using Bluetooth and the only way to stop it is by using your phone which causes distractions. This is a known problem based on Google searches and Ram/Chrysler should fix this issue before ppl are injured/killed while driving. The u connect screen controls, climate, hazard lights, phone, and other apps which is a huge problem and safety issue.

Sep 2022 FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL The contact owns a 2018 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the service electronic control warning light was illuminated and the vehicle went into Limp Mode. The contact was able to drive to his residence while experiencing the failure. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The mechanic cleared the code. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure was experienced three days later. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The mechanic cleared the fault code and reset the computer. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience failure again three days later. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer for a third time and again the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure but informed the contact that the vehicle needed to have the pressure checked. The dealer stated that the equipment to service the vehicle was not available to them. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact took the vehicle to a second local dealer: Baxter Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Papillion (14920 Crest Road, Omaha, NE 68138: (402) 819-6852) and was informed that the VIN was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer also informed the contact that the turbo needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. Parts distribution disconnect. The failure mileage was approximately 66,300.

Sep 2022 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER The in-dash audio system is shorting out. GPS will not work; U-Connect cannot make or receive calls (safety issue); U-Connect will make random phone calls over and over again, causing the driver to try and stop the calls while driving (safety issue); radio changes constantly between radio, Sirius, Aux and Phone (you cannot turn it off). It also affects the a/c and heat. I cannot believe this issue has not been recalled. I understand it is a real problem in the Ram trucks. Dodge needs to take care of this immediately! I do not drive the truck much because it is dangerous.
