| Jan 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The Honda sense front facing camera has went out on my 2018 Honda Odyssey. The camera is currently still installed in my van and if it is necessary to replace to keep it from draining the battery I will request that the faulty part be provided to me. This camera being faulty causes the loss of cruise control, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, lane keep assist and emergency breaking. This issue is also causing a drain on the battery, which impacts other items due to low voltage. My van is currently at the dealership and I am being told that I will have to purchase a new camera which will be around $1500. The following lights are on; BREAKS, ACC and LKAS. These items first appeared within a few weeks of having the rear camera recall completed. Based on my research this is a common problem and just like the rear camera recall, Honda should have to replace this camera as well. The date provided is the date it was officially diagnosed by Honda, the lights appeared in 10/2024 and all of the functions were lost around that time. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE | Tailgate warning beeps. Tailgare Will NOT open or Close. Dashboard lites flash. Vehicle will NOT START ! CANNOT START or move Vehicle! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Fuel pump went out on my Honda Odyssey causing my car to stall on a highway with my kids. It kept giving me issues the last few days before stalling with taking off. It was as if the car did not want to take off when stopped and when accelrating. I did report this to my local Honda dealer and although there is a recall regarding the fuel pumps and injectors dealing with my make and model my vin number is unfor. not included. I had to have my car towed to my local dealership on 12/18 which I am still waiting on repairs. When this happened all of my warning lights appeared. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Power tailgate malfunctions. Random errors showing on dashboard and randomly attempts to open on its own. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Random multifunction camera failure triggering lots of errors. Needed to pay dealership over 2000 to fix. Safety issue as it disables blind spot detection, lane change, collision warnings etc | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Up and down engine. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | STRUCTURE | The rear tailgate stopped working. Upon investigation, there is structural issue with the body. There are holes near rear tailgate which allows to water to pass through. The water has damaged the rear tailgate motor and now the door is inoperable. This has been a common issue with Odyssey minivans 2018 and newer model. We have contacted honda regarding the issue and they refuse to accept any liability regarding the body defects. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | STRUCTURE,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Our 2018 Honda Odyssey minivan had water leaks intruding and collecting into the power tailgate control module on the driver-side rear compartment causing the tailgate to become nonfunctional and not lock properly or open/close appropriately leading to a major safety issue where the tailgate may open or even not close during movement of the vehicle leading to significant risk to passengers with respect to accident or bodily injury. This power tailgate issue appears to be caused by defective rear body seam seals from the manufacturer that allows water to leak into the rear driver's side panels and intrude into the module leading to damage and destruction of the module circuit board. I have needed to purchase a replacement for the module (~$200) and I have provided photos to show the water damage. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,BACK OVER PREVENTION | The Honda monocular camera is apparently causing malfunctions and or warning lights. This is impacting many Odyssey owners according to my research. This should be addressed by Honda and reimbursement or repair covered as a recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | ENGINE | The engine failed without prior indication. The dealer says the engine is destroyed and needs to be replaced. Once the engine stopped working the vehicle would not go into neutral and was immovable preventing the vehicle from being moved to a safe location. The dash had a message that said the engine must be running to shift to neutral but the engine was blown. The owners manual has no solution to put the vehicle in neutral with an inoperable engine. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My 2018 Honda odyssey EX-L had a power tailgate failure. It looks like the controls module has experienced water damage from a water leak. An independent service center has confirmed the issue. There was no warning before it happened and it is a safety issue as my tail gate cannot Be securely closed. This water leak looks to be manufacturer error. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Multiple warning lights came on, indicating a failure with the front camera sensor attached near the rear view mirror. Errors include: auto high-beams, lane keep warning, collision mitigation system, road departure warning, brake system, and adaptive cruise control failure. All problems stem for the single point of failure - the front-facing sensor/camera located at the top of the windshield. Replacement quotes are $1,800 - $2,500! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My power tailgate stopped working after heavy rain. Based on online research this is a known issue due to faulty roof sealing and water infiltration, leading to tailgate module corrosion. The issue was confirmed by dealership diagnostics. They confirmed module corrosion and water infiltration. Offering replacement and resealing at $1069. https://www.carscoops.com/2024/11/honda-being-sued-because-some-odysseys-may-have-a-leaky-tailgate-than-can-open-at-anytime/ | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Dec 2024 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | I just had several recalls completed on my van. The issue that they couldn’t fix (which I have seen on so many message boards) my car stalls when starting from a stop. If I’m at a stop sign and press the gas nothing happens for 2-3 seconds and then it will catch and take off throwing everything in the car and the people forward. It is terrifying! I’ve had it happen with cars approaching and just been a sitting duck, thank the Lord it engaged in time. This seems to be a very prevalent issue and I don’t understand why a recall hasn’t been done before someone dies. My trunk also doesn’t work automatically anymore and they said I had a leak that would be $300 to diagnose and $500 to fix. I know ther are lawsuits for both of these issues. Recalls need to be issued. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Infortainment center shuts down and loses connection. Which means there is no communication with the backup camera or navigation. Popping noises from the front speakers start static and pop then the screen states connection lost then goes black. Turns back on in about 5-10 minutes depending. Also the lighting for the buttons around the center are not working as well. Idk if this is related or is an overload that the system cannot keep up. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The camera projector needs to be replaced according to the Honda dealership. Too many Honda Odysseys are having similar issues. Come thing is battery replacement or vehicle is located in warmer climate states. This camera mount is too sensitive to voltage swings or warm weather which is a poor design by Honda. It is a major safety concern not being able to use key features in the Elite and Touring models such as adaptive cruise control, LKAS, and the other 5 warnings that won't go away. This needs to be resolved by Honda so that vehicle owners can get back on the road safely. The cost to replace the camera and calibration is ridiculous ($1700 - $2000). This will be the last Honda vehicle we ever buy if Honda doesn't setup and correct this issue with thousands of Odyssey vehicles. This a major issue and Honda needs to recall and correct this issue before a major lawsuit comes their way to due to this poor design. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | My 2018 Honda Odyssey Elite as faulty camera system above rearview mirror according to our local Honda delaer. The dealer is asking for $1700 to replace this item. It is causing multiple warning lights (5) on the dash and now adaptative cruise control, lane keep assist, brake system, and other systems are no longer working. Multiple Honda Odyessey owners are having this same issue. We need help getting this issue corrected/fixed by Honda as a recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE,BACK OVER PREVENTION | Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warnin, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Keeping Assistance lights came on and won't go away. Sometime the car won't reverse when put in reverse. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | All alert lights came on suddenly (ACC, collision mitigation, road departure, auto high beam, etc). Took the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnosis, and found out there is a faulty multipurpose camera in the front near the windshield. Upon research, this seems to be a common problem for Honda vehicles manufactured between the years 2018-2019. Total cost of repair and labor is over $2,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | Unknown but many Honda Odyssey owners are reporting the same issue which most likely caused by defective multipurpose camera at the front windshield. This create alerts and deactivates safety features: adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, Lane keep assist, collision mitigation, auto-high beam, road departure mitigation, and Brake system. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | Multipurpose front camera controlling multiple vehicle safety features had internal failure. Dealer required replacement of camera and calibration. Multiple warning lights came on dashboard to alert of issue. Faulty camera was diagnosed by Honda dealer and is with dealer currently. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2024 | ENGINE | The contact owns a 2018 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while driving approximately 20-25 MPH uphill with the windows down, the contact heard a knocking or tapping sound coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for an oil change and the dealer confirmed hearing the tapping sound. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Lia Honda Williamsville Auto Repair & Service Center (4891 Transit Rd, Williamsville, NY 14221); however, the knocking sound was not heard. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact had heard the sound approximately 3 more times. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 115,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 115,000 |
| Nov 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | I got in and turned on the car one afternoon and all these lights came on. No wrecks or anything has happened. Just all systems have failed. Brake System problem ACC problem Collision Mitigation Problem Lake Keep Assist Problem Auto High Beam Problem This is a HUGE safety issue as this vehicle carries my children. We will be taking it to the dealership this week but these types of issues shouldn’t be happing this quickly. We need a recall to fix this issue as many many others have had these same issues. These are safety systems that will save your life! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
