Jul 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE We were pulling into a parking space and were almost completely stopped. Suddenly the gas engine revved and we jumped the curb and crashed through the glass front of the restaurant we had ordered food from. as it lurched forward my wife was pressing on the brake yelling it won't stop! The engined revved without any pedal usage. The automatic braking system did not function. Called the dealer and of course they have never heard of such a thing. I talked with the dealer adn they recommended going ahead with the body repairs and then take it to a Honda dealer to run a diagnostic to see if any abnormalities show up. There were no warning signals at all. It happened so quickly. The car ended up going completely through the glass fron and when it stopped it had hit the cashier counter and was completely inside the restuarant. We are so thankful there were no patrons eating in the restaurant at the time. Crash: Yes Fire: No Unknown
Jul 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Driver side mirror shakes at highway speeds. Not the outside but the mirror itself. It’s been replaced twice and still does it. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Jul 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES Sudden loss of braking power on June 29, 2026, with sudden brake warnings. We had the same error after taking delivery of the vehicle in September 2025. The dealership repaired the vehicle (brake sensor). We have another dealer appointment on July 6, 2026 to repair this again. Very concerning from a safety perspective that this is occurring again. Jul 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE Vehicle Information: 2026 Honda CR-V Sport HybridComponent: Power Train / Hydraulic Brakes / Electronic Stability ControlDescription of Incident:On [Date], my 2026 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid was parked facing uphill on a steep incline. I started the vehicle, depressed the brake pedal, released the electronic parking brake, and shifted into Drive. Upon transitioning to the accelerator, the vehicle failed to hold its position. It immediately and rapidly rolled backward down the incline, completely overriding the Hill Start Assist (HSA) mechanism. Despite accelerator input, the hybrid powertrain failed to deliver the instantaneous forward torque required to counter gravity. The vehicle gained rearward momentum and collided with a closed gate.Safety Justification:This un-commanded rollback presents a severe, systemic safety hazard. Research into hybrid consumer data reveals a documented pattern of drivers being blindsided by the lack of traditional automatic transmission "idle-creep" torque on inclines, combined with counter-intuitive electronic HSA deactivation thresholds. The vehicle’s software logic fails to safely manage dual-pedal inputs during hill starts, creating an unreasonable risk of rollback collisions.

Jul 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I am filing a formal complaint regarding Recall 26V-366 for my 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid (VIN: [XXX]). I have been waiting for more than three weeks for the required recall part. Honda has informed me that the part is still on backorder and that no one can provide an estimated delivery or repair date. I have been told that the part is not available in California. I rely on this vehicle for my daily work and income. Because Honda cannot provide the required recall part within a reasonable time, I am suffering significant financial losses every day. While I understand that recalls are sometimes necessary, it is unacceptable for a manufacturer to issue a safety recall without ensuring that repair parts are available. Customers should not be left waiting indefinitely without a solution. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate Honda’s handling of Recall 26V-366, including the prolonged lack of available parts and the absence of any repair timeline. I also request that Honda be required to provide affected customers with a prompt and reasonable remedy. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Jun 2026 VISIBILITY/WIPER Windshield wipers have built-in sprayers that only actuate when the wiper is in the vertical position, resulting in wiper fluid not being dispersed in field of vision, preventing cleaning of the windshield and significantly impairing vision while driving. Honda maintains this is proper operation. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Jun 2026 VISIBILITY/WIPER Windshield cracked without any trauma being done to cause it to crack. This is the second Honda CRV windshield to crack spontaneously
Incident: Jun 2026 , IL
Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
Jun 2026 VISIBILITY/WIPER The windshield washer system on this 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport-L does not function as designed. The washer fluid is released from the wiper-mounted nozzles only when the wiper blade reaches the near-vertical (upright) position, rather than distributing fluid across the windshield during the full wiper stroke. As a result, the majority of the fluid is dispersed laterally onto the driver-side and passenger-side windows rather than onto the windshield surface. This was first noticed during an initial road trip when the wipers failed to adequately clear insect debris from the windshield. The suspected cause is a check valve failure in the washer fluid delivery line. Without a functioning check valve, fluid drains back to the reservoir between wash cycles. When a wash cycle is initiated, the fluid must travel the full length of the line before reaching the wiper nozzles, arriving only after the blade has already completed most of its stroke. This results in poor windshield cleaning coverage and wasted washer fluid primarily on the driver-side exterior of the vehicle. This condition reduces forward visibility, which poses a safety risk — particularly at highway speeds when rapid windshield clearing is necessary to maintain a clear field of view.

Jun 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Driving in the rain on the interstate and during acceleration, engine just lost all power. Recovered within 2-4 minutes. After 1 hour of driving, it repeated again. Hard rain conditions. Engine lost all power and wanted to die. I had my family with me and the first incident was merging onto [XXX] with a semi truck quickly closing onto me. Fortunately, he saw I was having issues and slowed down and gave me room. Then when it happened again, pouring rain, night time conditions and the dash lights were flickering and engine was just bogging down during any acceleration. Nursed it to a well lit gas station. Turned off and when re-started- no further issues but drove with the CEL on for well over an hour. Took to Jefferies Honda in Roseville, Michigan where they charged me $200 just to diagnose the issue, even though the vehicle is still under warranty. Provided a printout of the "results" from the computer but it only is of the "Live Data"- not the recorded data. Not only that but I suspect they never really checked as the mileage listed on that page does not match the mileage on their report. I suspect my vehicle is about to come out of warrenty so easy to state "no faults found" even though we almost caused multiple accidents every time the engine was failing on the interstate. Check-engine lamp flashed and went off and then eventually came on solid for well over an hour so I know data exists but I suspect Jeffries deleted it when they stated "no faults found"- impossible. My wife and I were in the car and know what we experienced. HUGE safety concern and now I don't trust Honda. They did not diagnose nor fix anything. Only charged me and sent me on my way. Explained when I complained that their service people may have made a mistake "with the mileage" section. I suspect they took my car out for a spin. I have the print out- why have a "Mileage In/Out" section if they won't use? Doesn't add up. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Jun 2026 LANE DEPARTURE While driving on a country road with a string of telephone poles on the side, the vehicle lane keeping assist appeared to attempt to follow the shadow of the telephone wires on the road. The shadow was curved by the natural droop of the telephone wires, causing the vehicle to try to swerve to follow the curve of the wire. One time it tried to swerve into oncoming traffic, and another time off the road. There were two incidents in about 5 minutes, so we shut off the system to prevent an accident. It was a clear sunny day, and the road was well paved and marked with white and yellow lines. We have only had the car a few weeks, but this is the first time we have observed this behavior. Jun 2026 WHEELS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER My dealer cancelled my appointment because it doesn’t have required parts. They say waiting time can be more than two months, and don’t provide a loaner or replacement car. The other dealers said waiting time is 2 months. When I call the manufacturer to solve this issue they said to call the dealer. I believe the manufacturer is failing to remedy this safety recall within a reasonable time and is leaving consumers without a safe alternative. Jun 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I am requesting a formal investigation and warranty review regarding the sunroof glass on my 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD. The vehicle was purchased new, and within approximately the first week of ownership I discovered stress fractures and cracking in the sunroof glass while the vehicle was being driven and maintained under normal conditions. The vehicle has not been involved in any accident, collision, rollover, vandalism incident, or known impact event that would reasonably explain the damage. To the best of my knowledge, no object struck the glass, and there was no unusual noise or event that would indicate an external cause. The cracking appeared unexpectedly and seemed more consistent with stress-related failure than obvious impact damage. Shortly after discovering the issue, my wife contacted the selling dealership to report the concern. During that conversation, she was informed that sunroof glass replacement would not be covered. Given that the damage appeared almost immediately after delivery, we were disappointed by that response and believe the matter deserves a more thorough evaluation. My family has owned several Honda vehicles over the years and has remained loyal to the brand because of its reputation for quality, reliability, and engineering excellence. In comparing this vehicle to previous Hondas we have owned, the sunroof glass appears noticeably thinner and less substantial. While I understand modern vehicles are designed with weight reduction and efficiency in mind, the early appearance of cracking raises legitimate concerns about material durability, manufacturing quality, installation, or structural stress. After discovering the damage, I researched the issue online and found numerous reports from vehicle owners describing cracked, shattered, or spontaneously failing sunroofs. While internet reports alone do not establish a defect, they suggest this type of concern is not isolated and warrants careful review.

Jun 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Someone stole my radar sensors that is located behind the front Honda emblem. My car still drives but critical security features are disabled. It's not covered under warranty and when I asked Honda if they can put something in to protect the sensor from being stolen again they said they don't have anything. I am scared to park my car anywhere . The part is so easy to steal even a child can do it!!!

Jun 2026 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE I am filing a safety complaint regarding my new Honda CR-V which is 6 months old. Water seeped into my parked and closed vehicle, and after that I experienced multiple hazard warning lights on the dashboard while driving on XX, which caused panic and concern for safety. The next day, the vehicle became unresponsive and the battery went dead. This was alarming because the warning lights appeared during highway driving, where a sudden electrical or system failure could create a crash risk. The vehicle had been parked and closed when the water intrusion occurred, so I am concerned there may be a defect related to water sealing, electrical systems, or battery failure. The dealer confirmed that the seal was broken and might have been a manufacturing defect. This caused water seepage. But they were not sure if the water seepage was related to battery giving electrical warnings and going dead. This uncertainty caused more insecurity as we do not know the reason for battery failure exactly when water leaked into the vehicle. Please investigate whether this issue is related to a safety defect. I request that this complaint be reviewed for any pattern involving water intrusion, dashboard warnings, electrical failure, or battery drain in this model. Vehicle information: Year: 2026 Make: Honda Model: CR-V VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 3166 mi Date of incident: 05-24-2026 Location of incident: [XXX] Additional details: Water seeped into the vehicle while it was parked and closed. Dashboard hazard lights illuminated while driving on I-95. The next day, the vehicle was unresponsive and the battery was dead. I have photos/videos/repair records. The warning lights were flashing hazard icons and system warning lights. The vehicle lost power and had to be towed to Dealership on Tuesday, 05-26. Jun 2026 VISIBILITY/WIPER The washer fluid doesn't come out until the woolies have gone completely across the dry windshield and then throws the water off the side of the car. The water comes out once the wiper is straight up. The dealer says it's working because water comes out even though it doesn't come out until it's anyway gone across the window.i had mud on my windshield from a truck in front of me and when I tried to wash it the mud just smeared on my window. My research on it said it's just a $5 fix with a valve that closes and allows the water to stay on the line but they won't even listen to me. Posted a video on Facebook and half the people say theirs is broken like mine and others say theirs works properly not like mine. So there's clearly a difference.

Jun 2026 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM My brand new 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport-L experienced sudden significant power loss while operating on highway around 300 or so miles. Dashboard displayed warning: 'Emissions system problem — power may be reduced — see your dealer.' I had to immediately get off the highway and very slowly drive back home and then took it to the dealer as soon as their service dept. opened after that. Vehicle subsequently diagnosed at David McDavid Honda Irving with fuel injector failure requiring complete replacement under warranty. Highway power loss on a brand new vehicle at 300+ miles represents a serious safety hazard. Vehicle has been at dealer since May 26, 2026 for warranty repairs and even after 9 days they have not been able to resolve the issue and i am still waiting to pick up my car. May 2026 STRUCTURE While driving at highway speeds, the factory sunroof glass panel of my brand-new Honda CRV spontaneously exploded outward with a loud bang, sounding like a gunshot. There were no vehicles directly ahead of me and no overpasses nearby. The sudden explosion caused immediate driver distraction and threw glass fragments, presenting a severe safety hazard at high speed. There were no warning indicators, physical symptoms, or unusual noises prior to the sudden failure. The vehicle was subsequently brought to an authorized Honda inspector (Farrish Auto Body) for a technical teardown and inspection. The certified estimator formally determined and documented that there was absolutely no evidence of an external impact point, rock strike, or road debris damage, confirming a spontaneous structural glass failure due to a manufacturing or assembly defect. The vehicle is currently un-drivable due to the missing roof panel and structural hazard, and the manufacturer (American Honda Corporate Case open) and purchasing dealership (DARCARS Honda of Fairfax) have delayed providing a resolution or safe temporary transportation. The component and the vehicle remain available for further official inspection.
