| Jul 2026 | WHEELS | My concern is with the tire pressure monitoring system. The vehicle does not show the individual PSI for each tire. Instead, when there is a tire pressure concern, it alerts the driver and instructs the driver to pull over somewhere safe and manually check the tire pressure. The issue became more concerning after one of my tires was replaced with a different tire brand than the other tires. Since then, the vehicle has continued to display a warning message on the dashboard to check the tires. This creates a serious safety issue because if the warning message is already constantly appearing, I may not be properly alerted if there is an actual tire problem, such as a flat tire, dangerously low tire pressure, or another tire failure. The warning becomes less reliable because the driver cannot easily tell whether the alert is due to the existing tire mismatch issue or a new, urgent tire safety problem. This is especially concerning to me as a mother of babies. I frequently drive with my children in the vehicle, and I rely on the vehicle’s safety systems to provide clear and accurate warnings. If the tire pressure system is already giving an ongoing warning, I may not know when there is a real and immediate tire issue that could affect the safety of my children and me while driving. I also believe it is a safety issue that the vehicle requires the driver to pull over and manually check tire pressure instead of displaying the individual tire pressures on the dashboard. Depending on where I am driving, it may not be safe to pull over, especially on a freeway, busy road, poorly lit area, or unsafe location. Having to exit the vehicle to manually check tire pressure can put me and my children at risk. I am requesting that NHTSA review this concern because the TPMS warning system may not provide clear, reliable, and specific information to the driver when a different tire brand has been installed. I believe this could prevent drivers from recognizing an actual tire emergency. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jul 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | Stolen radar sensor on Honda CR-V. Thief able to unscrew without causing any damage. Resulted in multiple sensor warnings (brake system, cruise assist, lane departure, power steering, etc.). | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2026 | TIRES | Driving on I-69 in the right lane 18 miles south of Bloomington In. with our 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport Touring in adapative cruise at 77 on a straight dry road the driver front tire blew out with 14 holes on the outside sidewall. There was a car passing me on the left and when it blew out it pulled me towards it as he moved left to avoid hitting, I turnrd off adaptive cruise immediately and slowly applied brakes to pull off the road on the right. No warning lights ever came on in the vehicle. Michelin Primacy A/S 235/55 R19 The vehicle was towed to Andy Moore Honda in Bloonington In. by road side Honda and the tire was replaced and a front end alignment was done. | Jun 2026 | STEERING,POWER TRAIN | Car was leased on 2/2025, at the end of May 2026 I drove the car for a couple of days when I began to notice there was an issue when turning left. Anytime I made a left turn, the car would get stuck and would pull back to the right. When the left turn was being made, there would be a clicking sound from the front left side of the car. When driving straight, the car felt like it needed to pull to the right and I would need to hold on to the steering wheel tight. At the beginning of June, I took the car into Honda where they checked it and recommended the steering column to be replaced and advised my husband that the car was no longer safe to drive. The car is 1 year and 4 months and has had no issues until now. Honda is no longer giving me warranty on the car due to the high mileage and they are quoting me $5048.67 to replace the car. I submitted a request to Honda for a "goodwill" repair but have not heard back from anyone. Because my VIN was not part of the Honda CRV steering gearbox assembly, the service manager stated there was nothing they could do to help me. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Gear: When going through an sutomated car wash on a conveyor belt car was put in neutral and hands were off the steering wheel as instructed. about 3/4 wasy through the car wash, even though the car was still in Neutral the car started to reverse : the rear camera did not go on and there was no warning beep about a vehicle behind us and it was bumping into the front of that higher vehicle that stopped the reverse. They had no damage but our rear tailgate to the right of the license plate had peeling paint and an outward bump. We talked to the car wash owner about a possibility of a faulty conveyor belt but he denied this and showed video evidence (due to our wheels moving) that the car was in reverse, blaming us for shifting gears, which we did not do. The estimated repair for the damage we received from a trusted auto body shop is 1089.00 due to the painting and what they say is a misalignment of the tailgate. Our dealer , McGrath Honda, stated there had been no recalls of car going in different direction of the gear it is in. Had this happened on a highway ours and others safety coulf have been at risk. Upon request vehicle component and system is available for inspection. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2026 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL | I have experienced unintended acceleration while pulling into a gas station. The vehicle suddenly accelerated from 5 to 20 mph. Brakes did work and I slowed my car down to 2-3 mph. After releasing the brakes the vehicle started accelerating again and I braked again. It was troubling and stressful experience since many other cars were around. After those two accelerations speed control went back to normal. Luckily, there were no damages and no injuries. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

Additionally, the automatic settings for the disabled safety features became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the steering gearbox was replaced, and the steering failure was corrected; however, the advanced safety features remained disabled and nonfunctional. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number 24V744000 (Steering). The approximate failure mileage was 8,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The contact stated that while his wife was pulling into a parking space, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle unintendedly accelerated and crashed into the condo building. The contact confirmed that the brakes were applied during the failure, but the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The safety features failed to engage, and the seat belt detached. A bystander testified that the driver was not speeding. The message "Take The vehicle to Dealer for service" was displayed. The driver sustained bruises, but medical assistance was not received. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire or airbag deployment. The vehicle remained at the scene. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 20,790. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 1 | 20,790 |
| Jun 2026 | STRUCTURE | The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that after purchasing the vehicle, the contact discovered that there was a gap on the passenger-side of the hood. The dealer notified the manufacturer of the failure, and the manufacturer agreed to replace the hood. The vehicle was not yet repaired and remained at the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 38,000 |
| Jun 2026 | SERVICE BRAKES,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION | As I was pulling into a parking space, the car suddenly accelerated, ran through bushes, down a slope across a sidewalk hitting a city utility box. and jumped the curb finally stopping on the street. no other vehicles were involved and no injuries. I did not report at the time of the incident, because I thought I must have done something wrong. However a similar event occurred on May 29, 2026 (See Complaint #11743489) which leads me to believe there may be a defect in the car. | Crash: Yes Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2026 | SERVICE BRAKES,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION | As I was pulling into a parking space inside a parking structure, ground floor, my car suddenly accelerated, jumped the curb, going through landscape hedge and landing on front hood of a parked vehicle outside of the parking structure. I heard the engine accelerate, but had no way of stopping or controlling the car. A very similar accident took place in this car on [XXX]. Same situation: pulling into a parking space, car suddenly accelerates; no way to stop vehicle in time to avoid accident. | Jun 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,BACK OVER PREVENTION,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Honda put the CR-V lidar censor behind the logo emblem on the front grill. The logo is easy to remove, and the censors are being stolen at alarming rates. They're utterly unprotected, and cost over 2000 to fix/replace. It is a huge design flaw and it's unfair that they've saddled car owners with no ability to prevent theft, and huge replacement fees if a theft occurs. I just had the logo emblem stolen and it cost over 320 to replace. That's unacceptable and I'm really mad at whoever designed this car. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Washer fluid pours out onto windshield instead of spraying. This causes excessive use of washer fluid and a windshield that is not being cleaned effectively resulting in possible hazardous driving conditions due to visibility issues. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The sunroof/moonroof glass spontaneously shattered. At 245 in the afternoon at 65 miles an hour no other vehicles near it. The day was clear and the temperature was in the low 70s. Heard a bang and pulled over to discover the glass had shattered. There was flying glass had another vehicle been near they would be been pelted with broken glass. The potential for injury of the passenger of the vehicle had the shade not been closed. The fact that the glass was not there it was hard to dispute that it happened. The local dealership put it off as an insurance issue rather than dealing with it. Insurance is moving forward. I believe it was a factory defect an should be looked into as a recall. No warnings just broken glass. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE | Always driving east my cruise control, lane keeping assist and other safety systems stop working. Cars behind me are not aware of my sudden slow down. The alert said to clean the plastic H in the grill. I have been to two Honda dealers and the problem persists. Honda corporate in California calls it radar blindness. Aware of problem but no fix. I feel it is sun reflection off of the plastic H in the grill as it’s always clean and only happens when I drive east bound. I didn’t realize I was buying a problem when I bought my CRV. Please help | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| May 2026 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | Driver's side mirror has a distorted view and vibrating, most noticable at highway speeds, especially at night. Took it to a dealership and they were not able to recreate the problem both times it was taken to them. This puts my safety and the safety of others at risk as the mirror has a distorted view, making it extremely difficult (nearly impossible) to accurately judge if a car is in the lane next to me when I wish to change lanes. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | AIR BAGS,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | [XXX] is the VIN. AIRBAGS DID NIT DEPLOY I was driving 77 mph on i80 near [XXX] . Another vehicle, a Chevy Malibu, left the left lane of traffic and drove on the median. This driver over corrected when her speed was 83 mph. I hit her broadside (Tbone) in the b pillar dead center on the my front of my CRV. My airbags did not deploy. I received a broken sternum from hitting the steering wheel. USAA did not investigate, just saw the photos and totalled the CRV. The Chevy Malibu had all the airbags deploy. The failure mileage was approximately 10,850 | Crash: No Fire: Yes Towed | 10,850 |
| May 2026 | WHEELS | My car has under 6,000 mi on it. I bought it new and it has had this problem from the start. The TPMS alarms time after time. I go through all the routine of checking the tires and resetting the alarm system as per the manual. It might stay off for 10 mi or for 100 mi, but for sure it will come back on, and when the tires are checked, they are OK. So I reset it again and repeat the process. I have taken it to the dealer 5 times for this issue and have another appointment scheduled for next week. Twice they just reset it without checking me into the service dept. 3 times they checked it into the shop and worked on it. They called the Honda corp and ask them what to do, and were told to balance the tires. That actually worked for a while, but the problem just came back. When the monitoring system goes off, we don't know if it is for real or not. We won't leave town with the car because of that. If we disregard the alarm, it might be that we actually have a low or flat time and could have an accident or even be killed. I virtually won't leave town with the car because I don't know when or if it is giving me good information, and also.... EVERY time it happened, I MUST stop and check all the tires air pressure and then reset the system. I think that this is a dangerous issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | TIRES | My passenger side rear tire exploded off of the vehicle as I was driving 75mph down XXX. I was fortunate to be able to bring the car under control and get it out of the path of traffic. I could have been killed by this tire failure and loss of control. I had the vehicle towed to the Honda dealership in [XXX] . They told me I must have hit something. I absolutely did not hit anything that day or any other day. It was a clear, dry, sunny day. I was not in any road construction, and there was no debris on road. In addition the tire pressure warning light did not come on either before or after the tire exploded. I believe this was a failure as well. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not on my car. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The only inspection was by the dealer at the time of repair.
