Apr 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,STRUCTURE,SEATS The passenger side floor is soaking wet every time it rains. Google says this is a defect with the windshield cowl, which other owners say is a common problem. Our safety is at risk with potential for mold, rust, and water intrusion into the electrical system. The truck is going to the dealership on Monday to have this issue addressed. It has been reproduced every time it rains. It has not been inspected by anyone other than myself. There were no warnings or alerts. We've noticed the wet carpet a couple times and researched the problem.

Mar 2026 ENGINE The vehicle is a 2025 Ford Maverick. The engine experienced a major internal failure that was later diagnosed by the dealership as a gouge in the #4 cylinder wall. This defect caused significant engine malfunction and required major repair/replacement. This issue which triggered a CEL created a serious safety concern because a failure of this type can result in sudden loss of engine power while driving, which increases the risk of a crash, especially when traveling at highway speeds or when attempting to merge into traffic. Loss of propulsion can place the driver and other motorists at risk. The problem was confirmed by an authorized Ford dealership, which inspected the vehicle and documented the gouged cylinder wall in cylinder #4. Repair documentation from the dealership is available.

Mar 2026 POWER TRAIN,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE My Wife went out to the truck 2025 Ford Maverick XLT FX4 OFF ROAD PACKAGE TOWING PACKAGE LUXURY PACKAGE to back out of our drive way as She ALWAYS Does and instead of reverse she ended up in the garage door. it went forward I have a picture to show it was in reverse tried to engage emergency brake tried to put it in park and nothing worked until she was in the door and crashed. NO COLLISION ALARMS OR PREVENTIVE COLLISION HELP THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THESE TRUCKS. thank god no one was SERIOUSLY HURT that we know of BUT IT LITERALLY MESSED WITH MY PTSD AND MENTAL HEALTH. she sat in the vehicle and cried because its brand New and there is less than 400 miles on it. so know I have to pay for a GARAGE door that I don't own and fix a brand new truck. that I have only made 3 payments on. I don't have pictures of front yet because I'm afraid to move it until the tow truck comes to get it in the morning. then I will get to see the truck damage

Mar 2026 POWER TRAIN,SERVICE BRAKES not every time, but several times throughout driving around all day, i notice: the vehicle is in 'eco' driving mode, and while i start to slow down, lightly applying constant pressure to the brake pedal, the vehicle goes from a smooth constant slowing down pace, and all of a sudden, the vehicle seems to surge/lurch/lunge forward at a faster pace, and then a fraction of a second later, the vehicle then slows down closer to expected. Im not sure if its an issue with the hybrid eCVT , the regenerative hybrid braking, or the electronic ABS ... or some mixture of these systems. The griffin Ford dealership claims they cant re-create it, and there is no 'fix'. I drive around basically every day, and notice it now at least once to 10 times per day. the current local weather is around 20 degrees, up to maybe 50 at the hottest.

Jan 2026 SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE While flat towing in Neutral Tow Mode yesterday, [XXX] (appx. [XXX]), we were headed west on [XXX] traveling at 55-mph in the #2 lane when the Maverick abruptly started screeching the tires and dragging behind our motorhome. I was able to safely get to the right shoulder within about 100-yards. We were 18-miles into the 104-mile journey to our home from the RV park in San Dimas. (Level ground.) I then got in the Maverick, placed my foot on the brake, started it and shifted to Park to take it out of Neutral Tow Mode. (It started right up)
I then received an error message on the display “Electronic Parking Brake needs servicing” I then unhooked the Maverick from the motorhome and successfully backed it up 50-yards along the shoulder and then drove it forward, the drive train seemed to be fine. At that point I decided to hobble home with my wife driving the Maverick, following behind the motorhome… when I located the next convenient offramp we pulled over to a side street where I drove the Maverick about 2-miles just to verify that it was drivable (other than the flat spots on the front tires.) I know that the EPB activates the rear brakes when stopped, however there aren’t any distinguishable flat spots on the rear tires. I understand that the EPB activates the hydraulic system when activated while in motion. This leads me to believe that the EPB activated on the freeway, causing the malfunction. When we safely returned home I connected the Maverick to the RV and flat towed for 5-miles without any problems. (Appx. 3:00pm) Other Possibility Possibly Neutral Tow Mode disengaged causing the drivetrain to lock up? But it was still in Neutral Tow Mode when I got in the vehicle to start it after the braking incident, and the vehicle doesn’t seemed to have drive train damage. (It drove the remaining 85-miles home without issue.) BlueOx Towing Setup (we have towed for 5,000 miles without issue) and BlueOx Patriot 3 supplemental brake system. Jan 2026 LANE DEPARTURE,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE I got out of my truck this morning once I arrived at work and the parking brake function unavailable message came on. I got back in and started the vehicle and Parking Brake Unavailable, Advanced Trac unavailable, Hill Descent Assist unavailable, ABS unavailable, and Forward Collision/ Lane-Keeping System unavailable messages were all on dash. Attempted to take my truck to Ford of Murfreesboro as there is a recall that is out on this issue for some 2025 Maverick EcoBoost trucks, even though it doesn't show up on my VIN, all symptoms on the recall I am experiencing. Ford of Murfreesboro service personnel was rude from the start and when I told them I didn't have an appointment, but feel like this is a safety concern they were quick to tell me it would be over a week before they could even look at it, and even if I had an appointment, it wouldn't be looked at for a week. Worst experience I have ever had with a dealership, and I will be an advocate that people DO NOT bring their vehicle to Ford of Murfreesboro if they want to actually be taken care of if their vehicle has any issues.

Sep 2025 SERVICE BRAKES In the first week with only 107 miles, the brakes failed 3 times at very low speeds. Once while backing out and no brakes at all. 2 days later while turning a corner in a parking light they totally failed and I just missed hitting a car. And the 3rd time when I was trying driving out of the Ford dealership they failed and I hit the dealership truck and damaged both vehicles. They didn’t believe me until I took it to the garage and parked it. Then they started it up it had no brakes.

Sep 2025 POWER TRAIN 2025 2.0l Maverick 8f-35 auto trans. on cold start after sitting overnight transmission hesitates to engage and/or shifts harshly on 1st drive of the day so far. Most noticeable on 1-2 upshift. Feels like engine rpm flares or transmission skips before changing gear. Conditions repeat almost daily on first drive from cold start. I am concerned about long-term transmission damage and safety when pulling into traffic. I'm aware this and other issues have been acknowledged by Ford in prior TSBs-the same 8f-35 transmission has rough shifting in 2022-2024 documented by programs like 22B38 and 25-2127. Dealer stated after visit that no problem found and had "never heard of a Maverick doing this". there is under 700 miles on the vehicle.
