Aug 2024 VISIBILITY/WIPER At higher speeds, 60+ MPH, the drivers side mirror will vibrate causing visibility issues, as the image is not stable. This is cause for concern when traveling at high speeds and using the mirror to check surroundings for lane changes.

Aug 2024 STEERING,LANE DEPARTURE Purchased new in Feb 2024. On June 26, 2024, at 1,207 miles all safety features became inoperable while driving and all failure lights on dash ignited. I took the car to the dealer, and they said the ECM controlling the ADAS systems failed and needed to be replaced, this required replacement of the Rack and Pinion because they are integrated. I got the car back and immediately noted a difference in handling from the new car I purchased in February, particularly with the lane departure and lane keeping option; the car consistently drifts over the lane lines when the LKAS system is engaged, and sometimes realizes the car is leaving the lane and will automatically self-correct by a hard right or left into the adjacent lanes. I took it back to the dealer and the tech took it for a ride and came back saying the car was trying to kill him. He test drove five other Accords and had the same issue. The tech then said he has a new Honda CRX and his does not have this issue but all Accords he drove did. The car now has 1,500 miles on it and I refuse to drive it because I can't trust the safety features since the rack and pinion was replaced. The dealership submitted an incident report to Honda and we have not heard back from them yet. I have 4 other cars ranging from 1971-2013; I feel safe in them and will drive them until Honda can provide me the safe and reliable car I thought I purchased in February.

Aug 2024 VISIBILITY/WIPER At around 3,500 miles, I noticed that the driver's side mirror would vibrate at highway speeds. I took the car to the dealership today, but they were unable to reproduce the issue. They explained that they couldn't drive the vehicle on the highway due to safety concerns. Additionally, the vehicle hasn't been inspected by anyone other than the dealership, and there were no warning messages on the dashboard. At times, the mirror vibrates severely, making objects in the mirror appear blurry, which could pose a potential hazard.

Jul 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER When I was driving, suddenly the check engine light came on and within minutes several alerts popped up " Power System Problem, Do not Drive" and "Emissions System Problem. Power may be reduced. See your Dealer". It also asked to stop at a safe place. I stopped in the parking lot. Restarting the car does not remove these messages. When I attempted to drive in the parking lot to move to another spot, it felt that the car's brakes are coming on and off, with bad smell. We stopped the car and called Honda Dealer, who asked us to tow the car. The car has only 490 miles! Prior to that the Car was unable to update the software and requested to call the Dealer. I did that and the Dealer gave a appointment for the weekend.

Jul 2024 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES On June 9, 2024, while I was driving on the highway, my new Accord flashed a series of warning messages on the right side of the driver information interface (instrument panel). The messages that flashed and scrolled through repeatedly are listed below: Electric parking brake system problem. Parking brake not available. See your dealer. Blind spot information system problem. See your dealer. Hill start assist problem. Vehicle may roll upon brake release. See your dealer. Transmission system problem. Performance may be reduced. See your dealer. Emission system problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer. Additionally, near the fuel gauge a red BRAKE light flashed and an amber BRAKE SYSTEM stayed illuminated. This is upsetting because I've had my new Honda Accord just over one month and have fewer than 1500 miles on it. UPDATE: I took my new Honda Accord Touring to my dealer and they examined it and told me a solenoid needed replacement. They ordered the part which took several day and replaced it. The solenoid replacement did not fix the problem and the service manager said my car needed a new transmission (eCVT). I was shocked such a new car would require such a radical repair. After waiting two weeks, my transmission was replaced. However, I'm not confident in my car. I read on NHTSA that 2023 Accord Hybrid had a recall for eCVT transmission replacement. My Accord Hybrid Touring is a 2024 manufactured in 3/2024.

Jul 2024 VISIBILITY The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger’s side mirror started hitting against the vehicle, before the side mirror detached, and fell off onto the highway. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who determined that an impact had caused the failure. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the mirror needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted by the local dealer, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

Jun 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE I was driving on city roads when vehicle lost power going up a slight hill and I was forced to pull over to the side of the road. I received TDMS Failure first then multiple failures. Restarted and was able restart but received the following warnings: 1.Brake system failure, 2.Park brake failure, 3.Collision failure 4.Electric power steering failure, 5.TPMS failure, 6.Low speed braking failure, 7.road departure failure 8.Adaptive cruise control failure, 9.Hill start failure. Restarted again was able to drive the vehicle home but received the above warnings. Restarted again and received a brake system warning. After I got home, I restarted again and all the warnings cleared. This was a very serious error. If I was driving on the turnpike when power failed, my only recourse would be to try to pull over, if possible, stop the vehicle and restart. This would be a life-threatening situation. Checked tires front tires were 36# rear tires 33#. So, no tire issue to trigger the TDMS warning. The auto technician did some checks but did not see any codes. He also looked at the Honda forum for technicians and saw some of the same issues, but they didn’t provide a solution. I mentioned what I read in the Accord Forum about the Honda dealer this person went do couldn’t find codes but knew right away that it was the ICM ignition control module. The technician said someone drove it today and will drive it tomorrow. He will also call Honda Engineers in California for assistance. 6/11/2024 I was informed that the issue has been confirmed to be the ICM module, which is out of stock now. 6/27/24 I received a call from dealer service advisor that the rental was approved by Honda, but also the part was received and the car will be ready when I pick it up. Car was out of commission due to parts availability issues for 18 days.

Jun 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER On Thursday, [XXX], I was driving on the highway at around 35-40 mph when the car suddenly turned off. The dashboard screen went black, and I had no control of the steering wheel. Thankfully, I was able to control the brakes and traffic was slowing down but I still was suddenly in the middle lane of a highway without any control of the car. I tried to turn on the car several times and by the 5th or 6th time that I press the power button, it finally turned on and I was able to drive out of the highway. I decided to take the side streets to go home and I was able to make it home safe. I took the car to the dealership the next morning (Friday [XXX]). The car stayed at the dealership until this afternoon (Saturday [XXX]). However, they said that even though they found the failure codes in the computer log, they were not able to replicate the problem and therefore, nothing was done to the car. I did some research on my own and leaned that this is not an uncommon problem with this kind of vehicle. There are a few reports online from people that had a similar situation happened to them: [XXX] What component or system failed? ALL, THE CAR TURNED OFF ON ITSELF WHILE DRIVING Is the vehicle for inspection? YES How was my safety or the safety or other put at risk? I WAS AT RISK OF CRASHING OR BEING CRASHED ON AS I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF A HIGHWAY Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed? THE DEALER FOUND THE FAILURE CODES ON THE COMPUTER BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO REPRODUCE Has the vehicle been inspected? YES, BY A HONDA DEALER Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to the failure? NO. THE CAR JUST SUDDENLY STOPPED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE DASHBOARD SCREEN WENT BLACK. ERROR MESSAGES APPEARED AFTER WHEN TRYING TO TURN ON THE VEHICLE AGAIN INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Message on dash in big bold letters told me to BRAKE!!!!! even though there did not appear to be any reason to brake . When I tried to brake, I was not able to and the steering was difficult. I was able to pull over and finally stop. I was in a precarious spot and did not feel safe sitting in the car since I was just over the crest of a bridge endangering not only myself but potentially other drivers coming over the crest . Numerous messages on the dash related to steering and braking issues . Examples : Brake system problem Electric power steering problem Reduced traction and handling Brake hold system problem Electric parking brake system problem , parking brake not available

May 2024 SEATS After we purchased our Accord Hybrid Touring car last month in Marysville, OH, we could NOT believe that the passenger seat did not have a vertical adjustment!! My wife sits here most of the time when we use the vehicle, she is [XXX] and CANNOT see out over the dashboard in the seat. If the air bag ever deploys here, it will hit her in the head, which could cause her a severe injury!! She has tried sitting on big cushion, but it is very uncomfortable and will not use it most of the time in the vehicle. We would not have purchased the vehicle, IF we had known this inability of the passenger seat! We have found out by looking online that many other people have had this same problem w/o any real resolution to this issue. We want to inform Honda Corporate that if it cannot resolve this problem and we have issue with air bag in the future, we will be taking legal actions to obtain a remedy!! May 2024 SERVICE BRAKES While driving down a paved road that has multiple bumps at due to cracking and buckling at 40 MPH, the car dashboard had multiple indicator lights turn on with audible warnings. One of the most visible was an alert that indicated there was a problem with the electronic breaking system. I came to a stop light, and brought the vehicle to a stop, all indicator lights remained on. When the light turned green, the car would not move and was disabled. I turned on my flashers as I was stuck in the middle of the road. I turned the car off and back on. The errors did not clear. I turned the car off again and it indicated I needed to put the car in Park. Once I did this and turned on the car, it rebooted and all errors were cleared. Dealership was able to find the following errors logged: U0100-00, u0100-f1, u0101-00, u0122-00, u0122-f1, u0129-00, u0131-00, u0131-f1, u0151-00, and u0416-68. Dealership said this was due to an "intermittent multi purpose camera failure". They said that if this issue occurs again, they would replace the camera. My concern is, this issue disabled my vehicle and didn't allow me to move the car after it had come to a stop. This can cause a serious safety issue if stopped in the middle of the road like what happened to me. If this is a wider or known-issue it should be dealt with rather than waiting for the failure to happen again.

Apr 2024 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Car has 4800 miles. I've owned since new (5 months). No issues prior to this. Stopped a stoplight. The gas engine stopped running, which is typical for a hybrid when not moving. After 15 seconds, every warning/error message started cycling on the driver's dashboard screen, referencing "brake system malfunction" among many other failures. Pressing the gas pedal and there was no forward movement. Brakes still worked. Put in park. Pressed "Start" to shut down car. It didn't fully shut down (dash still lit up). Pressed Start again, still many errors but car would move. Drove immediately home. After 2 hours, pressed Start again and no errors. After 2 days of no driving, got appointment with local Honda Dealer Service. Drove it carefully and had no issues. After two additional days of evaluation, Honda says it's the ignition control module (part# 5k80030BA06). They had to keep the car longer to allow regional Honda rep to inspect and document the car's issue, as they said this issue is becoming a trend. Lastly, they told me it could take 6 months to get the part, due to a "national backorder" but offered no options/alternatives. Said car is unsafe to drive. This is unacceptable and I hope is investigated. This is a very dangerous issue. Had I been driving, it could have been far worse result. Attached is a photo of 1 of the many error messages that rotated on the dashboard.

Mar 2024 VISIBILITY/WIPER I drove my car on 2/27/24 and my windshield was normal. The car sat idle outside for a few days. I got into my car on March 1, and there was an 8" hairline crack emanating from the edge of the windshield on the passenger side. The crack looks identical to the pictures in Honda service bulletin 20-118 dealing with stress fractures.

Dec 2023 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE Today on 24 December 2024, I was driving my 3 month newly bought Honda ACCORD SPORT HYBRID vin [XXX] from Tulsa Oklahoma to Dallas Texas when the car broke down suddenly in the middle of highway. It reported sudden power train system and all advanced feature failures and asked me to halt immediately or safely and started reducing the speed in the middle of driving at 65 miles hour. I had to park urgently on shoulder on I 75 S and it was very risky considering high speed traffic flowing. Nov 2023 STEERING After about twenty minutes of driving I start having sticking steering. Around 65-70mph it starts getting difficult to keep the car in a straight line as it drifts to the left or the right. It doesn't matter if lane keep/ lane departure is on or off. When I'm able to get the car to turn it jolts to one side or the other, and then I need to constantly correct the car. As snow and slippery conditions are just about here the chances of losing control is extremely enhanced. The car is in the dealership currently without the chance of being looked at yet. As a automotive technician for the past 19 years I can confirm the complaint. No warning lights are on. The car is available to be inspected if needed.

Oct 2023 VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE 2023 and 2024 Hybrid Accord vehicles liberally activate brake lights while cruise control is active under even the slightest level of deceleration creating an appearance of a “brake check” when there is no brake check. A traditional car’s cruise control, for instance when set to 60MPH allows you to depress the accelerator, speed up to 65MPH to pass a vehicle, and then release the accelerator. The car then slows down naturally and begins controlling at 60MPH. The deceleration is gentle and the brakes are not applied and the brake lights do not illuminate. The accord hybrid under the same conditions will apply some level of regeneration to slow the vehicle and also activate the brake light to vehicles behind. While it’s understandable that the brake light would be illuminated if substantial regeneration is being applied, the brake light illuminates under even the slightest deceleration creating an unnecessary hazard. This can occur if the car is slowing down from only 2MPH above the set point. Brake lights illuminate although the amount of regeneration being applied is negligible. It can also happen coming over the crest of a hill on a gentle downslope even with no prior depression of the accelerator. This is a serious deficiency and incorrect behavior. The brake lights should only illuminate under substantial regeneration or application of the brake pedal.
