Nov 2025 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE I purchased a 2023 Nissan Rogue from Galles Chevrolet, located at 2801 University Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, on May 17, 2025. According to the vehicle history report, the vehicle has an active stop-sale record issued by Nissan. I am unsure of the specific component or system affected. Still, cars under an active stop sale should not be sold until the underlying safety or performance issue has been addressed. Since purchase, we have already experienced several issues with the vehicle, including: Engine performance problems, such as stalling and unusual sounds during startup. Electrical and digital system malfunctions, including warning lights, dashboard errors, and intermittent failures of the infotainment system. Other mechanical concerns include inconsistent braking responses and occasional unusual vibrations from the suspension, as well as numerous other issues. The stop-sale record indicates a potentially serious defect that could put the driver or others at risk. I have not been able to confirm the exact nature of the defect or whether it has been repaired. However, there are still two campaigns/recalls associated with my VIN. I am submitting this report to NHTSA to request an investigation and ensure that the vehicle is safe for operation. All payments are current, and there have been no crashes, fires, or injuries associated with this vehicle to date.

Nov 2025 POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE Within the first week of owning my 2023 Nissan Rogue, the vehicle began losing power from highway speeds to around 20 mph, stalling during turns, shaking violently, and displaying warning lights. These issues continued for over a year. Several times I nearly crashed because the vehicle suddenly slowed down or lost power on the highway. Nissan repeatedly told me nothing was wrong, but the vehicle was later included in Recall 25V-437 for engine bearing failure. The vehicle became unsafe to drive, and the engine behavior matched the symptoms described by others in the recall.

Nov 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I was gently and normally closing my trunk as usual today and the entire glass window of the trunk completely shattered. It sounded like a loud pop or a gunshot. Glass flew all over the car and my daughter was in the back seat. I cut my hand on the glass. My car is now making noises and beeping constantly. My backup camera is not working properly. This is a significant safety concern that needs to be addressed immediately.

Nov 2025 ENGINE There is an open recall on my vehicle with no repair available and no timeline for the repair. I have already sent my car in for repairs for a previous recall last year due to random stalling. Now my car will sill randomly stall, fail to accelerate, and the engine will shut off in the middle of traffic. There were never any warning signs or messages prior to the failure. I’ve been experiencing engine failure for about a year and a half. I have had the vehicle since March 2023.

Nov 2025 ENGINE Engine bearing recall that manufacturer and local dealer don't want to take care. I received engine bearing recall notice and contacted Nissan, I was told that they don't have any remedy plan. Called local dealer , dealer said there is no available bearing , no repair. There were ABS , brake alarm on my vehicle not sure if they are related to the engine recall. Manufacturer Nissan just give 10 year warranty but no remedy plan . During the phone conversation, they also rejected to cover if my car drops on the road any cost related to the safety recall issue .

Nov 2025 SEATS The heating element in the drivers seat of my 2023 Nissan Rogue shorted out, and started on fire while I was driving. The drivers seat became unbearably hot in less than 4 minutes, I began smelling hot electrical, and by the time I began to pull over, the driver seat was smoking underneath my legs. I could visibly see the white fibers inside of the seat start glowing red as a small hole began to melt between my thighs. I immediately turned the heated seats off and pulled over to exit the car. I have minor burning on the bottom and inside of my thighs. The fire department came to assess and do thermal imaging. It was determined the seats heating element shorted out. There was no warning lights indicating any issues prior to the incident. The heated seats light did begin to flash after the incident.

Nov 2025 AIR BAGS,ENGINE What happened: The vehicle is a 2023 Nissan Rogue (VIN: [XXX] ). The engine failed twice: the first failure required major repairs, and the second resulted in complete engine shutdown. These issues are not related to the prior U.S. accident, which only affected the driver-side airbag. The engine and all critical systems were fully functional upon delivery and can be inspected upon request. The second failure occurred while traveling with my family in a remote desert area from Baghdad to Ramadi, putting our safety at serious risk and causing extreme fear and panic for my wife and [XXX] child. The problem recurred and was confirmed by local service centers during the first repair. There were no warning lights or prior symptoms before the sudden engine stoppage; the failure happened unexpectedly during normal use. Nov 2025 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE The engine failed while driving on the interstate at 65+ mph. The malfunction indicator lights came on and beeped loudly, including Engine Malfunction and AWD Malfunction (which I don't have). The vehicle lost power, and the engine began making a frightening noise. I had to get over several lanes with no working gas pedal, and I'm lucky nobody was hurt. I had to be towed thirty miles to the nearest dealership. The dealership, who didn't answer when I called ahead to let them know I was coming, was unhelpful, and employees made jokes about just trading it in instead of fixing it. They said it could be months, and that there's no remedy for the recall. I have to wait until they re-open on Monday to speak with anybody. The only symptom prior was that sometimes the vehicle wouldn't recognize my key fob being near/in the vehicle, but I thought it was a battery problem. I thankfully knew about the recall and mentioned it to the dealership, but they don't seem to be agreeable to loaning me a vehicle in the meantime, so this will be a difficult repair process.

Nov 2025 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I was driving home at night when my car broke down on the highway. I had to leave the car there and take an Uber home. The next day, I had the car towed to the nearest Nissan Service Center to have it check/repair. They did the diagnostic and they didn't know what's going on with the car, a few days later they told me that the Engine was damaged and needed to be replaced but they were waiting for Nissan to approve it. It took 2 and a half weeks to get the car repair. After the repair, I still have the engine lights come up and the car jerks when accelerating; I reported these issues to Customer Affairs and they didn't do anything about it; they also told me that there is another recall pending and will be taken care of in January. This is not the first time the car broke down, I had all engine lights come up before and had to run the the Nissan Service center; they told me that the fuel gasket was leaking. I don't feel safe driving this car; I have to commute to work everyday and I'm afraid that is going to break down again. I bought a Nissan car because I had like 4 different Nissan models before and they always have been very reliable cars, but this time I think I got a lemon and Nissan don't feel like they need to replace it. I have all the recordings going back and forth with the Customer Affairs where they confirm that it was they fault the car broke down.

Nov 2025 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Vehicle: 2023 Nissan Rogue, VIN [Your VIN], KR15 Engine Issue / Complaint: I brought my vehicle to [dealership name and location] for the KR15 engine bearing recall (Campaign 25V437) to have the oil pan and engine inspected for metal debris. The dealer refused to perform the required inspection, claiming “no remedy available yet,” and initially tried to charge me for a diagnostic test. The dealership’s refusal violates federal recall requirements, as recall inspections must be performed free of charge. I am concerned that my vehicle may be at risk of engine damage if this inspection is not done. Request: Please ensure the dealership performs the recall inspection properly and at no cost. I have documentation of the visit.
