| Nov 2023 | STEERING | My daughter was driving yesterday when the steering wheel locked suddenly. She was sideswiped by another vehicle that hit the wheel well and forced the steering to work again. The occupants of the other vehicle did not pull over so she drove on to my work where she broke down crying and explained what happened. I took the car in yesterday to diagnose any issues with the car and was told that this is a feature that Toyota has when the car hits something like a pothole at faster speeds. My daughter could not have been going terribly fast considering it was 5:00 p.m. in Los Angeles on Olympic Blvd. during the height of rush hour; however, most concerning is I was told that according to diagnostics this is the third time the car had done this due to "aggressive acceleration". They told me that the jolt from the other car hitting the wheel well must have reset the sensor so the steering wheel could start working again. They said this is a normal safety feature on all Toyota hybrids. I asked for more clarification on what exactly we should do to prevent this happening in the future and they said to accelerate slowly so the sensor has time to keep up. This seems like an incredibly unsafe feature. I emailed Toyota's corporate office for clarification but received nothing to date. I am extremely nervous to drive my car and especially to have my 16 year old daughter drive it! I do have the diagnostic printout the Toyota Service Department gave me yesterday and am happy to share if you would find it useful. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

If I had the interior cover open I could have been cut by the broken glass and the possibility of glass flying from my car could have endangered other vehicles or pedestrians. I did not have the interior cover open so was not injured and no other vehicles or pedestrians were effected, thank God! The dealer set me up an appointment 4 days from now but I am going to contact the service manager first thing tomorrow morning. There was no warning either electronically or physically. | Jul 2023 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | My car's headlights are manufactured improperly so that the driver's side is far more illuminated than the passenger side. To be more clear, the cone of which the headlight service, around 10 to 15 degrees near the edge is not similar in brightness. If an animal or a person were to cross in front of my vehicle from the right. I would be less aware of them than I would on the left. This would put me and others at greater risk of an incident occurring. I have also looked on forums to see if others were having to same issues, and I have found that a large number of people are experiencing the same problem. I also took my car to the Santa Maria Toyota service center to have this issue fixed. They stated that the headlights can not be replaced or positioned to fix the problem. They stated that the headlight can only be positioned up and down. They are not able to be moved light or right. I also have documentation stating that they compared my car headlights to another car, that is the same year and model, with the same problem. I add this document as well. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Apr 2023 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | I was driving on expressway to Sharonville, OH on Wednesday, Oct 5 2023 and it started to rain so I tried to put on my wipers and they did not work. I tried to see if they were stuck and by cleaning them but still did not work. I could not see that well, luckily I had rain x on the front windshield so the rain would wash off. I called Toyota in Sharonville area and they told me to bring it in the next morning. I went to the park and then started the wipers and they started back up again. Toyota in Sharonville told me they could do anything unless they saw it not working. This has happen before a couple of times and I reported to Elizabethtown, KY where i get my free maintenance for 2 years. They told me the same thing there that they could not do anything unless they saw them not working. I looked it up on a website and it showed they can do a non functional diagnostic/repair which would test the switch, relay and wiring to see if they are working properly. This is a safety problem which could have caused me an accident without visibility to see where I am going. I have about 2 years left on my bumper to bumper warranty and would like this problem fixed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

I pressed it three times, put the handle stop on the park, and then started it again. My car was parked in the middle of the road, causing a traffic jam behind me, and I couldn't get out because it was dangerous. The second time in March 10.2023 3pm. after the stop at the light and anything like first time... It was rainy both times. I'm worried it's dangerous on the highway. | Jan 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I drove .01 miles and stopped at the entrance gate. My windows were dirty, so I used my wiper lever to spray washer fluid on the windows. I pulled out onto traffic after cleaning the window. Due to the space between the wiper control and the manual paddle shift lever ( I think) The lever was hit by my hand ( I think)? or it was a malfunction? so when I pulled out into traffic I was not in any gear and could not accelerate , the car acted like a slipped transmission. Traffic was bearing down on me and the car speed was only 20 miles per hour. I could not accelerate . After I was able to proceed to a turn lane, I tapped the paddle lever and the car acted normal. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
