Jan 2023 ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM My Vehicle has 3,700 miles on it and i have smelled a very intense fuel smell in the cabin of the vehicle at least 6 times mostly when the interior fan is not set to recirculate the air, i took the vehicle to my local nissan service center and they could find no issues but said this is a complaint that others have also made. I am concerned that there could be a fire from the fumes that are being released.

Jan 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER After 9 months of owning this car. When I drive for 20 or so miles and turn the vehicle off for a short period then restart I smell gas and fumes make me sick and my eyes water at times. The dealer found nothing wrong. Nissan corporate got involved after I emailed them. Their engineering tech confirmed it was happening.

Jan 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM There is a strong unburied fuel smell on occasion. The dealer says that they are waiting for Nissan engineering to provide a repair and that it would be ok to drive.

Jan 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM The gas pedal in my new 2022 Nissan Rogue has stuck open full throttle twice. Both times I managed to avoid a major car accident, but I was in the middle of a highway with traffic... I was in the left hand turn lane and pushed the gas pedal to the floor - the vehicle immediately seemed to be full-throttle in LOW gear - this is a problem with this vehicle. It slips into low gear about 20 percent of the time when you put it in D. the engined raced but the vehicle moved slowly. I took my foot completely off the gas pedal but the gas pedal stayed fully engaged. I pushed on the brake and managed to stop the vehicle with the engine still racing and the vehicle still trying to lunge forward. I tried to put the vehicle into neutral but it bypassed neutral - even the dotted indicator transmission light bypassed neutral and jumped into reverse. the car lurched but i still had the brakes fully engaged... this continued with me again tryying for neutral - then I gave up and concentrated on taking one of my 2 feet off the brake and reaching under the throttle. I had to slip my seat belt off and slide down to accomplish this. I did manage to do it and the gas pedal did disengage. I estimate the pedal was stuck and the engine revved full throttle for four minutes or a little longer. My son was outside the vehicle (waiting for me to pick him up) and he witnessed this from outside the vehicle. This is obviously very dangerous and could be deadly. In my case it could have caused a major multi-vehicle accident.

Jan 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM For roughly the last three months, several times I have smelled fuel or gas in the interior cabin. Mostly at startup for first time during morning. But also when starting car after use earlier in the day. The smell dissipates after 10 minutes or so. Especially if I roll down windows to let in fresh air. Please let me know how address because dealer will not see issue as it does not occur with a defined pattern that I recognize. I did notice that when the gas tank was near empty the smell was very strong - and I was driving car for several minutes before the odor started. This issue is not healthy for breathing and I’m worried about it getting worse and becoming a safety issue.

Jan 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM There is a strong smell of gasoline a few minutes after parking the vehicle in my enclosed garage. The smell is strongest on the drivers side, near base of the windshield and along the left side of the hood. This problem occurs every time I drive the vehicle more than 20 mins and then park it in an enclosed garage. 10 mins after parking it, the garage smells like spilled gasoline. I took the vehicle at 2,200 miles to a dealer and they stated that they were unable to duplicate the problem. They asked me to return the vehicle at 5,000 miles if I still had the problem.

Jan 2023 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Vehicle has raw fuel smell, both outside and inside. Smell intensity varies, sometimes it is faint, sometimes it smells up the whole garage for days. When restarting the vehicle after having driven it, fuel smell comes into the cabin from the air vents. Took to dealer multiple times. The first time, the Service Advisor noted the strong fuel smell. Subsequant visits to the dealer had faint fuel smell that was hard to detect over the typical odors in a repair shop. Opened a case with Nissan, and they sent a tech, but no resolution. Requested a re-purchase, and Nissan denied it. Nissan states this 1.5L engine is under Engineering Review, but they do not know if or when they will figure out a repair. This vehicle is an extreme health hazard with the exposure to hydrocarbon vapors, and is not safe to drive as an engine fire could result from the gas vapors. Issue started a month ago at 1100 miles.

Oct 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER Our car was in the garage. I opened the trunk not using remote opener, but from outside. I was taking groceries out. I was leaning in and picking up bags when I noticed that trunk door was coming down. I tried to move quickly out of the way and hit my left side of my forehead. Above my eye. As a result I have a black and blue under my eye and a bump on my forehead and now several days of headaches. So, what is happening is that car trunk door when it was opening reached or hit the top of the garage. That caused it to start coming down immediately. There is no sensor to see if there is something in the way. Similar to garage door where there a sensor that something is in the way and it will stop. We have a small video of what happens. The upload on the next screen does not allow for videos.

Jul 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER I do not feel safe in my new car. There’s a problem with the turbo\acceleration. It won’t accelerate for 2–3 seconds when I push the gas. And when it does it jumps forward fairly fast. If I’m at a stop and I’m ready to cross and I take my foot off the break and the car is going like 1 mile an hour… then press the gas… it’s as if it’s in neutral. The car won’t move forward for 2-3 seconds. It’s going to get me into an accident. For example, If I am at an intersection, and I cross and a car fails to stop at the stop sign… And I see them coming towards my car… I will not be able to move out of the way because of the acceleration problem. Or if I’m on the highway and am slowing down due to treaffic ahead, and the car behind me doesn’t see and slams on their breaks and I see and hear it and look to my left and see no cars and I want to speed up into the left to avoid being hit by this car behind me…. My car will not move and I will get hit anyway. I have a five year old son. I do not feel that he and I are safe in this car. Are all these new Rogues like this????? If so, it needs to be fixed immediately!! Please help!!!

Apr 2022 UNKNOWN OR OTHER,VISIBILITY/WIPER I purchased a 2022 Nissan Rogue Platinum brand new in March of 2022. On the drive home from the dealership, I noticed my driver's side rear view mirror was quite shaky. After speaking with my salesperson, I tried to fold the mirror in and back out again to see if that would help the situation. It did not. Whenever I drive at speeds as low as 20 mph, the mirror will shake and give a distorted view. I took the vehicle into a local dealership to have the mechanics look at it and possibly fix it. My car has less than 500 miles on it at this point. The technicians could not figure out how to fix the issue. The service manager drove my vehicle and confirmed the issue. Then, he drove another new Rogue on the lot. He found that Rogue to have the same issue. He contacted a Nissan field engineer who stated the issue is known and considered to be normal. I am unsure how it could be considered normal as the passenger mirror works as expected, but the driver's mirror shakes and vibrates.
