| Mar 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | While driving on the highway, I heard a loud POP coming from the roof of my vehicle. I have a panoramic sunroof. I then pulled over and saw that my sunroof had shattered. The car is less than two years old. I did some research and discovered that I was not the first person to whom this happened. I contacted Jeep, and they were no help with it. They stated they were not responsible for anything and did not even care what I had to say. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Power lift gate will open and close by its self. I have had it looked at and the dealer said to report it as it’s a known issue and no recalls have been issued yet for this year. Have not had a fire yet on this vehicle. But was told it was leaking around the power liftgate control module. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | SEATS | My driver side electrical seat will not recline to the forward position.... I reclined it back but now it won't recline forward.... Everything else works .... All other components of the seat except for the seat recliner back to the upward position.... My vehicle is only at 50, 000 miles... | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The vehicle in September of 2024 after a software update randomly changed the settings. The forward collision off warning light remains on (in settings the forward collision is "on", the language changed to Italian, the paddle shifters stopped working, the units changed, and the grid for the backup camera was turned off). I had it serviced at Jeep. They reset the vehicle which temporarily fixed the issue, however, 3 weeks later it happened again. There is a known MOPAR/star case number S2108000249. This is also reported in Jeep Forum. My safety is at risk due to the failure of the forward collision warning light/software malfunction. I feel that I am at risk for a forward collision. Also the paddle shifters don't work. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | I was parking in my sister's driveway and car just accelerated in to her house! | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | POWER TRAIN | We opened a warranty service case #92312434 yesterdday because case #91655707 was closed prematurely while our vehicle is still in disrepair. Our 2022 Grand Cherokee has been to Lithia Jeep of Reno for warranty service on seven occasions since October 29th, spanning 89 days, for a vibration issue which remains unresolved as of today. The manufacturer is in material breach of 49 U.S. Code § 30120 and refuses to offer a replacement or repurchase despite prima facie evidence of failure to repair within a reasonable time (defined as 60 days). | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | This vehicle has a nonstop history of unresolved electrical issues cause numerous warnings of failed systems, failure to start and randomly going into "Limp mode". It has been to the Jeep service shop 7 times so far. Recently, the vehicle completely shut down and lost all power while driving at speeds higher than 50 mph on 2 separate occasions. On February 2nd 2025 the vehicle lost power on the freeway at 80 mph. I swerved into the left shoulder to prevent an accident. vehicle was towed to Jeep service center, a software upgrade was performed and returned to me as presumed "fixed" by Jeep. On February 25, 2025 the vehicle again lost all power while driving down a highway at 50 mph. Again, forcing me to swerve off the road onto the right shoulder to avoid an accident. Vehicle again was towed to a Jeep service center where it remains. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | I have some major safety concerns with my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee, specifically with the AEB. Today was the SECOND time that my automatic emergency braking came on while I’m driving down the highway at 60 mph. The first time was in November. The roads were dry, no other cars coming toward me, driving on a straight stretch, with one car a safe distance behind. My jeep went from 60 to 0 slamming on the brakes so hard and flashing the AEB lights and dinging on the dash. Seat belts locked up tight and gave you a hard fast whip lash forward. Very terrifying like what is even happening?! The car behind me thank goodness had enough time to slam on their brakes and not rear end me! As fast as you could even comprehend what was happening, the lights and dinging stop and you can drive again. I was like maybe a leaf or something blew over the sensor and kind of wrote it off because nothing came up on my Jeep app. Fast forward to today, February 25th. Again roads are dry, no one is coming towards me, driving 60 mph in a straight stretch and wham the auto emergency brakes slam on again! Hard brake from 60-0 mph. AEB lights flashing and dinging, locking seat belts and whiplashing your head forward as you screech to an uncontrolled stop. I had absolutely no control over my brakes or gas! This time I’m livid bc my children were in the car with me! Thank goodness everyone was properly wearing seatbelts and in car seats, and I had both hands on the steering wheel, and it was not on a bend in the road because this could have been very dangerous and not ended well! This is NOT ok and there is nothing at all that blocked a sensor or would have had any reason to cause the Jeep to engage this feature. I should not have to be afraid to drive my Jeep and now it’s literally terrifying to drive it bc you never know if it’s going to happen. It needs addressed and fixed ASAP and all Jeep owners should be made aware of this very dangerous situation! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Feb 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | While driving on the freeway, the vehicle turned off. No engine, no electric, no headlights. I had to coast to the side during traffic. The mechanic is replacing the OCR module, stating the car thought it was in a collision and turned off. Though obviously it wasn’t. Before which, the screen flashes off from time to time. The car has had loss of power for a moment in the past but never all the way off. This was extremely dangerous and I’m concerned the OCR will not fix the issue. It is with the dealership now. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking have not worked properly for over a year. Sometimes I get a message that the AEB/ACC is not working and to see the Dealer other times i have a light lit showing it is not working. On some occasions there are no signs of it not working but ate ACC works like the regular cruise control and does not slow the car down unless you apply the brake. The car has been to the dealer 2 pervious times with no long term fix it is now there again out of warrantee waiting to be fixed. last time was 05/06/24 | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I started getting random "service hybrid electrical system" warnings. The warning would come up and go away after approximately 5 seconds. On 2/5/25 I was on the highway going about 65mph when this warning light came on and I lost power. I still had power steering and brakes, but no acceleration. I was in the middle lane during rush hour, trying to coast over to the shoulder. Luckily I was able to make it without causing an accident. I put the vehicle in park and was able to restart. This happened a second time, but luckily I had just parked and was idling. Obviously, this is a very scary, dangerous situation for a vehicle to suddenly lose power anytime let alone when on a very busy highway. The vehicle is currently at the Jeep dealer, but I have read that this is a very common problem with the Jeep hybrids and does not sound like Jeep has figured out the root cause. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was driving in hybrid mode at approximately 50 mph gently accelerating up a gentle hill. All of a sudden, the vehicle lost a significant amount of its motive power and experienced a significant shudder. The power delivery to the vehicle was significantly reduced for 2-3 seconds, puting myself and family at significant risk. The red service hybrid system light lit up on the dashboard and blinked for approximately 5 seconds. The vehicle then returned to normal operation. I took the vehicle to the Jeep dealership the next day and they were not able to find any associated error codes or replicate the issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE | One my navigation is lost second my stop and start button light is on and most importantly the sensors seem off changing lanes beeps at wrong time I feel these things seem wrong a few times now | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ENGINE | The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the RPM's increased and the vehicle stalled. The contact drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road where the vehicle was turned off and restarted and the vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure had occurred several times. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,095. | Crash: No Fire: No | 85,095 |
| Jan 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | On 12/28/24 we dropped the vehicle off for a check engine light issue + the 95B recall fix. It was discharged on 12/31/24. On 1/9/25 the vehicle lost all power while flashing the red wrech lightning bolt symbol. I had to coast to a stop (I had been exiting the interstate) and had to drive into a pile of recently plowed snow to avoid being rear ended. The vehicle put on the parking brake and the engine had shut off. I turned on the engine after a few moments and it worked fine and I was able to drive it straight to the dealership (2 miles away.) They kept the vehicle for 2 days and could not get the issue to happen again, however they said they re-did the 95B recall and seemed confused about it having been done a few weeks prior. Today on 1/15/25 while driving on the interstate at about 65mph the issue happened again and I had to quickly pull off on the shoulder. The dealership told me to record the issue, but that's impossible while trying to steer it with zero power on the interstate. The same lights flashed (red wrench lightning bolt) and it shut down. Upon restarting it worked as expected. I do not feel safe driving it anymore. The dealership cannot find the issue and I don't want my kids in the vehicle on the off chance I cannot get over, or someone is driving offensivly around me. I am in fear of my life for driving this vehicle so much so that I am considering buying a different car today and letting this one sit until my lease is up. There are no other warning lights at this time on my panel. I will be taking the vehicle back to the service department this afternoon. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Event occurred within 2 days and 50 miles of recall 95B service being performed on 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe showing passing results. After startup of the vehicle and being placed into 'electric' only drive mode and DRIVE engaged, the vehicle traveled down the driveway approximately 10 feet when the vehicle juddered, the driver display showed an error message "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System", a red wrench icon appeared in the dashboard/instrument cluster, and the vehicle automatically switch into 'hybrid' drive mode and started the gasoline motor. The vehicle was turned off, then restarted. Upon restart the error message was not visible and the red wrench icon was gone. Vehicle was then able to be operated in full electric drive mode. My safety was at risk because if the sudden juddering and loss of power occurred at speed on the general roadway instead of in my driveway I could have lost control of the vehicle and crashed. I do not know if this has been reproduced by the dealership but I have heard anecdotally about other 4xe drivers having this same issue immediately after the 95B recall service was performed. The vehicle is scheduled for inspection with a Jeep dealership on 1/21/25 | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2025 | SUSPENSION | I took the vehicle in to have the dealer implement the fix for safety recall. 24V-720 (manufacturer #95b). The steps documented in the NHTSA Saftey bulletin were not followed. They omitted the charging requirements and skipped the drive cycle test as required in the safety recall instructions. I do not feel this recall was completed accurately and could put me at risk of fire if I attempt to charge the vehicle. The dealer just says they completed the recall. Mileage on the vehicle only incremented 1 mile from drop off to pick up and the battery was not charged for per the recall, making it impossible to perform the required steps of the recall. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I recently had a recall fix for the hybrid system battery. Days after the car was serviced my dashboard displayed messages saying to service the Hybrid system and the 4WD. Two days later I was stopped at an intersection. I put my foot on the gas and after a few feet I lost power and the car only rolled. I was able to roll onto the shoulder while the dashboard was displaying multiple errors and showed the parking break was on, along with other warnings. I turned off the car and turned it back on. I selected the E-save setting wnich allowed me to complete the drive without any further issues. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | After 95B (hiVolt battery recall) Car has had two system warnings - check hybrid system. Second time i was on fwy, high rush hour traffic and it was raining hard. Car made a big clunk sound (? Transmission shift or engine shift from hybrid elect to gas. Large red wrench displayed. Both times error messages went away after 1min or so. There were no stored messages displayed on computer dashboard along steering wheel column. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | VISIBILITY/WIPER | On commute to work today cabin heat (on high) was blowing cold air. Start of drive heating within cabin/windshield was possible. After 10 mins of driving heat, vents began to blow cold air. Temperature this morning was under 20 F with slight mist of rain, because of the conditions the windshield began to ice over. With no ability to defrost the windshield. This is the same defect as FCA Recall# 04B/NHTSA 24v-111, which could result in the loss of being able to defrost. In summary cabin heat and defrost inconsistent and during cold/wet weather could result in not being able to see through windshield. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The front passenger door is unable to be opened from the inside or the outside. The handle from the inside feels like it has no tension, like something snapped inside. Two local mechanics suggested taking to the dealer as this seems like a potential safety issue with no means of egress from the passenger side if needed. Dealer said they have never seen this problem and deem that a fix will be very difficult as they are unable to open the door to remove the interior panel. The only way to access the latch mechanism is to remove the exterior door panel, a major task. Two safety issues- impossible to exit door inside, what if this happens to another door and I am unable to escape my vehicle? Or unable to get my child from inside? And because the mechanism cannot be inspected, is the door safely locked, or will it open while driving? Contacted Chrysler and they are unwilling to cover repair since vehicle is at 39,000 miles and warranty ended at 36,000. Chrysler rep also said never seen this issue before. Should be covered as manufacturing defect and potential major safety issue. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | SUSPENSION,WHEELS | I purchased a 2022 Jeep, my miles are under 20000, I took it to the dealership and told them something was going on with the vehicle. They checked the vehicle and said nothing was wrong with it. I ended up taking it back because the situation got worse, they finally told me it was my suspension. I also told them about the recall that was over looked. They told me to pick up my vehicle with no explanation to why. I had a warranty and there was no reason for them to deny me service. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
