May 2026 STEERING Abnormal sound when turning the steering wheel specially at stationary state. Notice that steering the wheel feels heavy. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 LANE DEPARTURE The issue involves the driver’s-side blind spot monitoring system. In my experience, the system does not recognize or alert me to vehicles approaching from behind in the adjacent lane until they are nearly even with the driver’s door. In many situations, the blind spot warning light does not illuminate while a vehicle is occupying what most drivers would reasonably consider the blind spot area. Instead, the alert often appears only after the vehicle is already alongside my vehicle. This creates a significant safety concern. The purpose of a blind spot monitoring system is to provide advance warning of vehicles approaching from behind before a lane change is initiated. When the system does not recognize a vehicle until it is already beside the driver’s door, the warning is delayed to the point that it provides limited practical value in helping prevent a collision. I have discussed this concern with Honda dealership personnel and have been advised that the system is operating as designed and that there is no repair, adjustment, or calibration available to improve its performance. While I appreciate their efforts, I find it concerning that a safety-related feature may be functioning exactly as intended while still failing to provide what I believe is adequate advance warning for drivers. As a driver, I would expect the system to provide earlier notification when another vehicle is occupying the adjacent lane and approaching from the rear. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown

May 2026 POWER TRAIN,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,ENGINE This morning, around 9 AM, I was stopped on [XXX] in traffic, just south of [XXX] . [XXX] ) Foot on break, waiting for traffic to start moving. Engine suddenly revved to about 4k RPM. Car started to lurch a bit, I had to put increased pressure on the brake to hold it. I wasn’t sure the brake would hold, so I shifted to neutral, engine revved up over 4k. It settled back down and I was able to drive to the Honda dealer on [XXX] (less than a mile from where the incident occurred.) Left the car there to be worked on. Car was in the engine idle shutoff mode. I don’t recall if it started revving coming out of that mode, but I don’t think so since my foot would have been off the brake at that point. Other than the lurch that occurred while I was pressing hard on the brake, I didn’t move the car until after I had put it in neutral and it settled down. Then I put it in drive and moved forward. I don't recall any warning lamps or messages. No report yet from the Honda dealer [XXX] ), but I wanted to report this since this should never happen -- regardless of the root cause. May 2026 POWER TRAIN Honda 2022 CR-V - Rear Differential (RD) locking up, jerking, slipping, not moving smoothly. When backing up and turning the RD has been jerking and slipping for more than 2 years. I had the vehicle in the shop 2+ years ago and explained the problem and they claimed they could not find a problem and gave the car back to me. Now it's back in the shop again as the problem is worse. The powertrain is still under warranty so I assumed they would cover it, however they said it's my fault so they won't cover it. Honda dealer wants $4000 to fix. So next i contacted American Honda and explained it to them. After a week of waiting they came back and said we will give you a discount to $2500. My response it this should be under warranty. They will not admit they had defective Rear Differentials as I saw NHTSA had an open inquiry of these RDs. NHTSA Action Number: PE22011. Now I am waiting to get my CR-V back and pay the hefty bill even though this is clearly a Honda defect. Can you help me get a Recall opened to American Honda to fix these Rear Differentials? The Honda company and the Luther dealer have not been honest and they need to be held accountable.

May 2026 STEERING My 2022 Honda CRV is experiencing a "STICKY or CATCHING" steering wheel under normal driving conditions. The vehicle will not self-correct to the center unless some manual effort is attempted. (Especially when re-centering from a left-hand curve). The issue has become increasingly more pronounced over time. It became apparent that this was a design flaw once I began to investigate the problem online. Apparently, Honda has issued a recall for the problem in the 2023-2024 model years. (Over 1.7 million vehicles) However, I am experiencing the exact symptoms in my 2022 CRV. I greatly fear in driving the vehicle, we may attempt to OVER-CORRECT the steering and cause a potential accident or worse. I am reaching out to my local Honda dealership this week to seek advice. I wanted to register my concern with the NHTSA first. Thank you for your consideration of my serious concern. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown

May 2026 STEERING Steering wheel sticks moving wheel left or right while driving allowing over correction and dangerous situations. No lamps. Mechanical. Same issue for 23-25 models with recall. May 2026 STEERING My steering wheel has been sticking and it can be very scary when it happens. The Honda dealership just quoted us 4,700 to replace the steering rack. We bought our car brand new, no issues or accidents, and only has 44,000 miles. Upon research this exact problem is a big issue with similar year / makes and models but our specific VIN has no recall for this. Very upsetting.

May 2026 STEERING While driving, especially on the highway over the last few months, my steering has seemed to catch or stick to where you have to turn the wheel harder than you should have to in order to stay in the lane. It seems to be worse in warmer weather or on longer trips. Needless to say, both of these issues have created great safety concerns especially when trying to stay in my lane on a curve with a car next to me. After my husband did some research online he found out that there is already a recall (NHTSA Recall# 24V-744) for this "sticky steering" on the 22-25 Civic and 23-25 Honda CRV, HRV, and Acura Integra. I called the dealership and they said that although they know about this issue, since it is not under warranty, car has 60000 miles, and is not included in the recall, I would have to pay $120 for them to diagnose it. The serviceman recommended I fix it soon because it is a mechanical part that could fail causing a serious safety issue putting me and others on the road at risk. He said that I would have to pay the entire amount to fix it though since it is out of warranty and not included in the recall. Please encourage Honda to include the 2022 CRV in the recall!

Apr 2026 ENGINE When car was at 44,000 miles, check engine light repeatedly went on, and Honda dealership determined the car needed adjusted valve job. Car rode rough, and I was worried it would cut out on drive. Now that car is at 77,000 miles, check engine light came on with the exact same problem (misfire on cylinder 1). Car rode rough, and I was worried it would cut out on the drive to the dealership, but they said they couldn't diagnose the issue unless the light was actively on. I feel like this is a defect with this car model.

Apr 2026 STEERING We are experiencing “sticky steering” issue that has been recalled in 2023-2025 Honda CRV yet ours does not seem to have a recall at this time. Driving down the highway on curves car needs to be pulled back as it does not go back to neutral on it’s own This issue affects our safety as well as our passengers and other vehicles around us.

Apr 2026 STEERING While driving, the steering can stick momentarily and cause a jerking of the steering wheel. When taking the vehicle to the Honda dealer, the recall for this issue only covers 23-25 cr-v vehicles and since there are no warning lights or codes for it, their recommendation is to drive the vehicle until it gets worse. The jerking of the wheel can cause loss of control and makes the vehicle a hazard.

Apr 2026 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I am getting increasing frequency of cylinder misfire, so far cylinder 1 and 2, and the car goes to a limb mode and loose power. It happens during acceleration to a highway ramp. Engine lights and other many warning lights come on, the car goes into limb mode, I pull over and when I turn the engine off and turns back on the warning lights clear and the car drives normally until next time, to start all over again. I took it two Honda dealers at three occasions. Since the engine light goes off, and they cannot capture the issue, they are telling me there is nothing they can do. It seems to happen during a normal driving than sport mode. It is frustrating and dangerous situation. I thought I would report it, to save others from similar situation

Apr 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Subject: Safety Concern: Electronic System/BCM Failure – 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid VIN: [XXX] ] Approximate Mileage: [45,200] Component: Electrical System / Body Control Module (BCM) Description of Incident: On [04/13/2026], my vehicle experienced a sudden and total failure of the Body Control Module (BCM). The vehicle’s security alarm began triggered randomly and could not be silenced or deactivated. Simultaneously, the key fobs became completely unresponsive, preventing me from locking, unlocking, or disarming the vehicle. Upon entering, the dashboard displayed a "Christmas Tree" effect with all warning lights illuminated (ABS, Brake, TPMS, etc.) accompanied by a persistent audible beep. Safety Risk: This failure creates a significant safety hazard. Because the key fob and locking systems failed, I was unable to secure the vehicle. Furthermore, the loss of communication between the BCM and other safety modules (like ABS and Traction Control) puts the driver at risk of losing critical safety features while in motion. Prior History: This issue is identical to the symptoms found in NHTSA Recall 20V771 (affecting 2018–2020 Honda models). It appears the defect persists in the 2022 CR-V Hybrid model year, yet no recall has been issued for this specific VIN range. Requested Action: I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid for BCM-related electrical failures to determine if a safety recall is necessary to prevent further incidents of driver stranding and safety system malfunctions. Apr 2026 STEERING When driving long distance (car is warmed up), and taking a left turn or a left curve on freeway, the steering wheel sticks, and does not return to center. When doing it manually, there is a popping sound before it returns to center. Its the same thing when taking the car out of parking lot after it is standing there overnight. This is not the first time this happened, as it has happened many times before but we assumed it is the tires going bad.
