| May 2026 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | While driving my vehicle suddenly would not accelerate above 20 mph and warning lights all over the dash lit up (check engine, abs brake system, adaptive cruise control, vehicle stability, power steering, hill assist, and brake hold). I took it for a diagnostic, it gave a code for cylinder 3 misfire. I got a tune up the next day along with a fuel system cleaning just to be safe. After about 35 miles of driving I had the same issue 2 days after the tune up, this time no warning lights. I took it back to the shop and this time the spark plug in cylinder 4 was bad. I believe I am at the beginning of what many others have complained about with these same symptoms. This problem makes operation of my vehicle unsafe and uncertain, at any time this issue can kick in and now you are limping along at 20 mph while cars zoom all around you. While trying to get the vehicle to the shop I created traffic buildups and was almost hit multiple times due to the vehicles diminished acceleration. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The touchscreen/head unit on my 2022 Honda Accord Sport SE (VIN: [XXX] ) consistently exhibits ghost touch behavior — the screen makes random phantom inputs while I am driving, without any physical contact. This causes the navigation to be rerouted or cancelled mid-drive, audio to change sources and volume unexpectedly, menus to open randomly, and CarPlay to become completely non-functional. This occurs every time I drive the vehicle and constitutes a significant safety distraction. I rely on GPS navigation for every drive. Honda has acknowledged this is a known issue affecting 2021–2022 Accord models but has stated no fix is currently available. The dealer has confirmed the issue and been unable to resolve it. I have opened a case with American Honda Consumer Support (Case #XXX) requesting a loaner vehicle and vehicle exchange. No recall has been issued despite this being a widespread, documented safety defect with multiple NHTSA complaints filed by other owners. | May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,BACK OVER PREVENTION | This vehicle is experiencing an aggressive, heat-accelerated hardware degradation of the central capacitive screen assembly commonly identified as ghost glitching, culminating in a total crash of the primary graphic interface and touch controller hardware. While your customer service infrastructure routinely classifies display anomalies as low-priority convenience or entertainment glitches, an objective systems analysis reveals that Honda has centralized critical safety telemetry, emergency communications, and vehicle calibration gateways into a single, unbacked hardware node. Consequently, the catastrophic failure of this infotainment module directly compromises the operational safety of this vehicle, presenting an immediate, unpredictable hazard not only to myself but to the general driving public sharing the roadway. The systematic failure modes of this defect are detailed as follows: 1 Multi-Module Network Failure and Primary Gauge Cluster Blindness The failure of the central display audio unit is not isolated to an entertainment screen. It acts as a network parasite that actively destabilizes the vehicle's primary Driver Information Interface DII on the steering wheel instrument cluster. Toggling the steering wheel controls to view Audio or System telemetry on the primary driver's dash gauge results in an immediate, total blackout of the left digital dashboard display. Because the central infotainment unit's microprocessor is frozen, degraded, or locked up, it fails to respond to high-priority internal Controller Area Network CAN bus data requests from the instrument cluster. This creates a severe data bottleneck that blinds the operator to system telemetry directly behind the steering wheel while traveling at highway speeds. Furthermore, while the vehicle's secondary hardwired communication circuit allows background audio streaming and steering wheel track-skipping overrides to function, the manual physical volume controls, dashboard knob, | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My radio is ghost glitching. It randomly does it. I can't listen to anything or do anything on the screen.. it keeps the whole drive. It won't allow me to upload the video. I can send it via email. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My 2022 Honda Accord Infotainment have what is being referred to as "Ghost Touches" the screen very erratically switches between settings in the system, clear programmed data, and adjust the radio and volume without being touched. This has been a major distraction while driving and pose has huge safety risk for myself and put others at risks for accidents. I have had several near misses because of this. You never know when it will happen so when it does, it immediately removes your eyes off the road where it should be while driving to try and attempt to get it to stop because the switching is loud and distracting especially with the volume adjustments. I purchased the vehicle new, the first owner and not even a three months later the nightmare began. I have taken it to the Honda dealership serval times when it is happening and the course of action is a screen reset and the issue still persist. There were no warnings or lights that came on prior to it to happening, it just began and has never stopped. The reset is not a sufficient solution and the only other option there is to replace it which cost well over a thousand dollars and most customers can't afford it. This a serious Honda issue that needs to be address because there are a lot of customers having this issue and nothing is being done about it or assistance with getting it repaired. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The touch screen for the radio is having ghost tapping and it is switching from the radio to Bluetooth to turning on and off by itself. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The infotainment touchscreen experiences ‘ghost touching,’ where the screen activates functions without driver input. The system randomly changes screens, activates apps, changes music/navigation, and becomes unresponsive while driving. This creates a significant driver distraction and safety concern. The issue occurs intermittently and has continued despite troubleshooting/reset attempts. Dealership acknowledged the issue as ‘ghost touch.’ Very disappointing that this isnt a recall. Having this problem not even 6 months after purchasing this car for over 30k | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE | This car has well known issues with the infotainment system probably since it came out and nothing has been fixed. There are constant ghost touches/glitching, especially when it gets hotter outside. Now after owning it for a year, Apple CarPlay freaks out. I’ll be listening to music and then suddenly the screen goes black. The buttons still work on the blacked out screen but nothing will pop back up. I had my dealership take a look and this is an ongoing issue with Honda. I’ve seen car forums talk about the same thing for years and nothing is being resolved permanently. This can be a distraction safety hazard. My other issue is the lane keep assist. It doesn’t detect lanes very well, especially if it’s faded or has sealed cracks. I could be driving the freeway speed limit and then the car suddenly brakes hard. I’m lucky no one was directly behind me when these incidents have happened or else I would’ve been rear-ended. Safety hazard for both complaints. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The infotainment system does ghost touches and changes settings randomly such as tpms, airbag, and maintenance settings while driving causing major distractions by also turning on and off randomly increasing and decreasing volume settings. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My car infotainment system keeps on having a "Ghost Touch" and it keeps on being a distraction when im using the GPS and it is a hazard being on the road especially in [XXX] where drivers are reckless. Other people have been having same issue, at least 80% that i have seen in person and online. This should be on a recall or at least have honda figure out the issue since theyre selling there cars over 30k+ it should st least be working for a good while and not a hazard on the road. | May 2026 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | I was driving down the highway going 70 mph on my way home from work and my cars engine shut down and I pulled to the side of the road as safe as I could. Went into limp mode and I was not able to drive it home. Gave a check engine light. I had to pull the car home with a truck. I bought an OBD code reader and it was giving the code POO87. Doing research this code is for low pressure at the fuel rail. I found that this is a common problem for this car. Specifically the high and low pressure fuel pumps which currently have recalls. When searching with my VIN # It does not pull anything up. This could have been disastrous. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | First incident, I purchased my vehicle in November 2022 in March 2023 my transmission failed. When replaced, the dealer didn't connect all hoses causing more issues and now my car struggles to shift. Dealerships made aware several time. Second incident, over the past year my infotainment system has been glitching. Switching between all settings, from the radio to the Bluetooth, screen freezing, etc. Imagine driving for hours with continuous beeping. Dealer replaced the screen and still no resolution. Dealer claims that they're investigating the issue but still hasn't. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Both my Road Departure Mitigation and Collision Mitigation Braking System both randomly turn off and show “setting incomplete” when I attempt to put them from off to on. After 5-7 days of normal driving both systems will turn back on and thereafter work for 5-7 days before turning off once again. I have not been involved in any accidents. I’m afraid off unprovoked braking from these electrical safety support systems not working correctly causing possible serious injury to me and others and also causing me emotional mental anxiety while driving due to documentation of these issues in my specific Honda causing possible accidents due to the faulty safety support systems I’m experiencing. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Thank god nothing has happened but almost. I bought my car brand new and 2 weeks into having it I have been having issues with the infotainment system. Its very distracting. Sometimes it distracts me so much that I swerve while driving trying to stop it. It also is interfering with my experience listening to music. Something needs to be done as im not the only one having this experience. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | STEERING,SUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I’ve had problems with my steering wheel ,I’ve taken many times to alignment n it always some how loses alignment but also my gears feel weird when I drive like it pulls a bit delayed and my dash is saying electrical steering problem ,n my car don’t be trying to turn on recently it doesn’t charge I guess | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2026 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | All of my driver warnings keep coming on, I have brought it back to the dealership mechanics three times already they said the code was showing a spark plug. I have had that changed out and the car is still doing the same thing. When accelerating or even while driving it will die I have to pull over turn the car off and restart it and it still cuts out and dies. There have been times that it wouldn't go over 55 mph. I was almost hit by a car due to it stalling on the interstate when trying to merge from a on ramp. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Subject: Safety Concern – Infotainment Screen Malfunction (2022 Honda Accord) I am reporting a safety-related issue with my 2022 Honda Accord involving the infotainment display system. The screen is experiencing a “ghost touch” malfunction, where inputs occur without any physical interaction. This causes the system to randomly change settings, switch screens, activate functions, and interfere with navigation and audio controls while driving. This issue creates a significant safety concern because it: Distracts attention away from the road while attempting to correct the system Interferes with navigation and vehicle settings Causes unpredictable behavior of in-dash controls The problem persists even after restarting the vehicle and has not been resolved through basic troubleshooting. [Include this if applicable: The issue has continued after a factory reset and/or prior repair attempt.] Due to the ongoing and unpredictable nature of this malfunction, I believe this defect poses a risk to safe vehicle operation. I am requesting: A full diagnostic and documented repair attempt Consideration for warranty coverage or goodwill repair Escalation of this issue as a potential safety defect Please provide documentation of this concern and any findings, as I may also be submitting this issue to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for further review. Vehicle details: Year/Make/Model: 2022 Honda Accord Mileage: 66000 I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and request a resolution as soon as possible. | Apr 2026 | AIR BAGS | The contact owned a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, another vehicle, driving approximately 75 MPH, crashed into the rear and front passenger's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was then pushed into another lane, where another vehicle crashed into the front driver's side of the vehicle, from the fender-bender to the driver's side door. The seat belt failed to unbuckle, and the driver's side door was jammed. The contact was assisted out of the vehicle by the Hero team, who forcefully unbuckled the seat belt. The contact stated that the vehicle sustained significant damage on all four sides and a fractured frame; however, the air bags failed to deploy. The fire department checked the contact's vital signs. The contact was transported to the hospital by his mother. The contact was diagnosed with vestibular system hypofunction and vascular neuritis. The contact sustained a high concussion, pain from the neck, through the back and down to the leg, headaches, crystals in the ears, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. The contact was currently undergoing pain management, physical and psychiatric therapy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and totaled by the auto collision repair shop and the insurance company. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the air bags should have deployed. The contact was referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Injuries: 1 Towed Medical attention | 73,000 |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Hello, I am having issues with the infotainment system on my accord. It is suffering from the ghost touch issue. When this happens the car constantly makes an alert beep and then randomly starts going through the menus on the system. Here are a few of the issues that can result. Navigation changes or setting change, radio can change or even turn on or off or change inputs, the cars setting can change, it can start calls to any of your contacts including emergency #s. The only way to stop this from happening is to turn off the screen. However if the radio is on, you can not turn it off. This results in the driver constantly having to divert their attention to the radio /infotainment system from the road. It is extremely distracting and very unsafe. This is a known issue and there is no active recall. As far as I can tell this has not been fixed in replacements, simply a new version of the same radio is put into the car. I would expect that this has or will create accidents if is nor recalled. As these cars age, this will get worse for all of them. I did reach out to honda and they informed me there is no recall. Please help keep people on the road safe! | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | 11686537 prior complaint #. I want to add to my prior complaint. I have has this car going on almost a year. During the winter months there was no issues with the informatic system. Once we experienced our first 80 degree day it immediately started again. This is becoming unsafe as it causes anyone driving the car to become distracted due to the constant switching of screens. If you try and use the GPS that becomes impossible because it switches on its own causing the driver to have to take their eyes off the road. This is also resetting your setting. I had my car set to autolock and at some point it reset that and then my car was broken into and stuff was stolen from inside. The informatic system is completely unusable when this happens and is pretty much every time you use the car when the weather is over a certain temperature. I have heard some people doing things to maybe help to prevent this but I have paid for a vehicle with a long standing history of safety and quality. So I do not believe I need to alter my vehicle in any way to prevent standard equipment from operating properly. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | STEERING | Turning the wheel when the car is in park or reversing causes a very loud groaning sound. Honda claims it’s not a safety issue so to ignore it but it has been happening since the car had less than 48,000 miles on it and seems to be a common problem online. A recall is needed to replace the defective part. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The digitizer in my car's infotainment system malfucntions every time the car is on. It changes what is showing on the screen, what is playing from the speakers, etc. The system acts like a ghost is touching it. There have been times where I am driving and my navigation map is showing, but my screen changes to a different screen, or zooms out to a completely different part of the world, not allowing me to follow the navigation guidance and causing a safety issue. This used to only happen during hot weather, but now it is all the time. It gets worse with each passing day, making the system almost completely unusable. Sometimes the audio input will cycle between am/fm/bluetooth several times in a minute. It's frustrating and distracting while driving. It is a common issue I've seen in other posts all over the internet and is reproducible if inspected. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2026 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,VISIBILITY/WIPER | Infotainmeny system receives multiple fals touches and switches to other screens and functions with no direct input from me the driver. This is very distracting and also dangerous as the issue also interfears with navigation, it will turn is off and switch destinations without any input. This issue has occured since i have had the car in 2022, it only keeps getting worse. This is a very distracting issue to have, it is unsafe and Honda needs to come up with a solution, i have seen this reported by hundreds of people online, this tells me that there are likely thousands of cars out there doing the same, but the people do not know how to report it. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
