| May 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Stereo blasted static at full volume at decibels dangerously exceeding healthy limits while driving and would not turn off. Had to stop the vehicle and turn off in the middle of the road. Sound was so loud that my hearing was impacted and there is now ringing in both ears. If children were present, it would have been devastating. I was stuck in the middle of the road while traffic routed around my vehicle. If this happens to someone else, the noise/volume is so disorienting it could cause involuntary breaking or steering, resulting in a car accident. Please help, this is unacceptable. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument cluster intermittently failed to function properly. Due to the failure, the speedometer, fuel gauge, and MPH were inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 46,000 |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | Daytime running lamp burnt out on passenger side. Coincidentally, right after the vehicle was in for a parking lamp recall. There are 34,900 miles and I’m just shy of a month out of my 3 year warranty. $1700 for a new headlight at owners expense is ridiculous and this is a common issue on these trucks. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | My rear reverse lights and light bar are full of water, there was a recall on this model vehicle to address this issue but my vehicle wasn't part of that recall even though the light bar is the same part number. The reverse lights are full of water and cause the reverse lights to flicker or not turn on at all. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | Rear driver-side blinker light failed due to microscopic breaks in the light. It eventually allowed moisture to occur in the light causing a failure in the lights. It has been a known issue on the F150 Lightning vehicle with the rear lamp bar and based on many other vehicle owner accounts it is also an issue with the rear taillights. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission unintendedly shifted from drive(D) into park(P), with the message “Hill Start Assist Warning” displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that no fault was found with the vehicle. The dealer was also unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 49,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 49,000 |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | Passenger side DRL burn out | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | Daytime running lights have burned out separately but does not have a bulb replacement solution. The entire headlight has to be replaced causing a safety issue in daytime visibility and price gouging from Ford Motor Company. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | The running lights went out on the front passenger side. These are LED lights and should last longer than 60k miles. These can’t be repaired and have to be replaced. I got quoted $1,650 without labor for one. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted and inspected the vehicle. After inspecting the vehicle three times, it was determined the vehicle was not defective and determined no repair was needed. The contact stated that the recall notice did not state that an inspection was needed to determine if the axle half-shaft and hub assemblies would be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | Headlamps went out at low mileage (36000 @ 2 years old). Not full headlamp just a portion. Cant see as good at night on passenger side. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | The passenger side rear tail light assembly (with built in blind spot unit) has noticeable condensation in the unit. This has intermittently caused a hyper blink situation with use of hazards and directionals, as well as causing the lamp assembly to not function at all creating a lighting and safety hazard. I have had this evaluated by the dealer, and was quoted $2,453 for a new light assembly that is not even three years old. On the [XXX] forum, there are numerous other owners that have had the same issue on either or both tail lamp assemblies. | May 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | The problem is not a safety issue but needs to be addressed for recall. There is a underbody shield called the splash guard or skid plate. It's a cloth shield that covers the oil pan. It's make of some kind of cloth instead of a metal. It fell off jan 17, 2025, the first time and I was charged $154.83. I was told this wasn't covered under warranty and it gets wet, freezes and comes off. At this time I saw 4 other f150s with this piece of cloth dragging under their trucks. This shows me that it happens to alot of f150s. This just happened again 4/11/2025. There was no snow to blame this on. After checking Google for this I see there was some 185,000 recalls fromm 2000 throughout 2022. My truck is a 2022 but wasn't covered under the recall. Again this piece came off and I filed a complaint with ford customer service because I refuse to pay for another factory defect. They suggested I file a complaint with you so here I am. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | EXTERIOR LIGHTING | The rear tail light bar and back up light has moisture in it. It no longer works, the back up light also does not work. This is a known defect and there is a recall for this issue on many Ford Lightning pickups. For some reason my truck is not included in the recall. The vehicle is available for inspection. I have no illumination when backing up, I feel this is an unsafe condition. The dealer has confirmed there is moisture in the tail light bar. No other entity has inspected the vehicle. I first noticed the problem when after putting the truck in reverse at night I could not see behind me while backing up. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | SUSPENSION,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | This vehicle has random bursts and loss of power due to the transmission not shifting properly. There is a noise coming from the passenger front that may be tied to transmission failure. Pre collision assist isn’t working due to ECM problem. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | POWER TRAIN | The pre 2023 10R80 transmission needs to be recalled. The transmission surges, jerks, and has even downshifted so roughly in a low speed hard right turn that the tires slipped. Gears 3-5 are incredibly bad, but downshifts from 3rd to 1st when coming to a stop interferes with the braking and can cause drivers to misjudge the stopping distance required. Coming to a stop is rarely smooth, and the problem isnt me because this doesnt happen with my other three vehicles. It also vibrates at certain speeds and Groove Ford, now purchased by Autonation, refuses replacement or rebuild. Ford needs to recall these for the CDF drum, which was redesigned, and for the F clutch cyl, which is now a hardened anodized unit. Both were updated for the 2023 model year. Worse than that, my transmission and many others were underfilled from the factory. The dealer added 3.5 qts and refused to replace the transmission even after shuddering and a valvebody replacement which was necessitated by the low fluid conditions. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | STRUCTURE | The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, there was rainwater entering the interior of the vehicle on the front driver's side. The contact noticed the rainwater entering from behind the dashboard onto the front driver's side floor mat. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 66,000 |
| Apr 2025 | STEERING | Electric portion of rack and pinion faults while driving causing loss of power steering Safety factor is loss of power steering Ford dealership has confirmed the issue and the truck only only has 37,000 miles | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,SERVICE BRAKES | 2022 Ford F-150. The vehicle displays a warning message that reads, "Trailer Disconnected" continuously. It comes on as soon as the engine is started and comes back on as quickly as I can press the "OK" button to make it go away. I have taken the truck to the dealer for repairs four times so far and it still comes back. I have paid to have the trailer break control module reprogrammed as well as having a new one installed. The Ford web site lists this as a recall for the '22 F-150 but not for my specific VIN so it would appear the problem is larger than they know. Here is the link to Ford's description of the recall: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | POWER TRAIN,ENGINE | Issue: Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.3L engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with OTC P0171 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the software level of the PCM. To correct this issue, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM to the latest software level using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FORS). Description: 2021-2023 F-150 3.3L: Reprogram The Appropriate Modules As Required By The Software Update And Service Procedure (Do Not Use With Any Other Labbr Operations) Ford has current recalls for this issue but my vehicle was not included. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

VIN tool confirms parts not available. | Crash: No Fire: No | 15,000 |
| Apr 2025 | POWER TRAIN | Rear axle bolt broke while 1,300 miles from home. Recall has been in place for at least 17 months now and still NO repair available from Ford. THIS IS A HAZARD. While driving when the bolt breaks you will lose power which if you were passing in the left lane on a highway at 70MPH it would result in a catastrophic situation.
