| Oct 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | Sunroof sunshade snagged on a plastic plate that is attached to the underside of the roof, between the sunroof and the panoramic glass over the back seat. it is a cosmetic element. The plastic plate is held to the roof with pins and double stick adhesive pads. The adhesive on the pads failed causing the plastic plate to drop away from the roof, held by the plastic pins. On closing the sunroof the returning sunshade again engaged with the plastic plate dislodging it. Sunshade retaining clip on the passenger side, completely snapped off from the travel bar when it engaged the poorly attached plastic plate and the sunshade disengaged from the motor track and snapped into the slot at the back of the roof. Sunshade can no longer be engaged. Service rep at the Ford dealer told me it should be covered by warranty, when I showed him the broken parts.
