| Nov 2024 | BACK OVER PREVENTION | The backup camera isn't working properly; it's very dim and glitchy. This was a known and recalled issue for 2021 - 2022 Ford Edges, but because of my VIN number, they won't fix it without charging me. If I'm having the same issue as the other recalled ones, why won't you service mine? | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Apr 2024 | BACK OVER PREVENTION | Bought this vehicle from Bayou Ford in LaPlace, LA around 2 months ago. The back up camera stopped working correctly after first month. Paid to have reset at Ford dealer in Slidell, they said wasn't on recall. It's got squiggly lines when selecting reverse on shifter, unable to view behind me. This is dangerous as it's a large vehicle and I fear running over something or into another vehicle out of view. This is the exact problem as the recall indicates. The Slidell dealer said it would be over 1K to replace a camera and I don't have it after just buying thr vehicle. This should not be happening with a 2 year old vehicle. Can someone please help me? | Feb 2024 | SEAT BELTS | This vehicle was purchased new during April of 2023. Since the date of purchase it has been and continues to be impossible for a heavyset person to fasten the seatbelt while seated in the right rear seat. This is due to the following facts. The seat belt buckle at that location ONLY is physically different than all the other buckles in the rest of the vehicle. This renders a standard Edge seatbelt extension unusable at that location ONLY. While a part number exists for this unique, single location application seat belt extension, THE PART ITSELF DOES NOT ACTUALLY EXIST. Despite having been on "backorder" for nearly one year now, Ford is evidently refusing to manufacture and/or supply this vital safety appliance. Accordingly, the fact remains that, each and every time our heavyset family member rides in the right rear seat of this otherwise wonderful vehicle, THEIR LIFE IS POTENTIALLY AT RISK! I checked with the parts department at Riverview Ford in Oswego, IL yesterday and was told that "the part is still on backorder with no ETA." Your help is respectfully requested in resolving this crucial safety issue. | Jan 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle was significantly close to the vehicle in front of him; however, the Forward Collision Avoidance system failed to engage. A message indicating that the Forward Collision Avoidance sensors had failed was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to the detachment of the bracket attached to the front bumper. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the Adaptive Cruise Control mode was inoperable while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who made the same assessment and charged a repair fee. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist because the failure might have been caused by a frontal collision; however, the contact stated that the front of the vehicle did not show signs of a front impact collision. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 11,000 |

| Jan 2024 | POWER TRAIN | I noticed a clicking noise coming from the right front wheel when turning left. I also notice when I put the vehicle into drive I hear a clicking sound. I was driving came to a stop and heard a click sound when I took off. I would guess it's the actual drive shaft that is bad. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2023 | SEATS,LANE DEPARTURE | I got the Edge in 02/18/23 purchased brand. I noticed that the drivers seat is loose. I actual took into the dealer where it was purchased and I was told it would take 3 months to look at it. Needless to say I didn't leave the vehicle. I also notice that body trim was coming off and I filed a claim with Ford but I was told a dealer would have to send pictures and they would decide if they would cover it under warranty. The lane keep assist or Ford Co-pliot will over compensate and if not careful will cause a crash. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Nov 2023 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Vehicle starting giving blocked front sensor errors disabling adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning and emergency braking systems. Car was cleaned and all sensors were clear but issue continued. The safety concern was that it unexpected and without any reason applied the collision warning and automatic braking a couple if times, which is very unsafe | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Oct 2023 | VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE | While braking for a red light the car jerked sporadically as it slowed with normal braking applied but the brakes delayed while vehicle jerked and lunged forward. Vehicle lunged forward into the intersection even further past the red light while brake was compressed aggressively, lunged forward 2-3 feet. Then engine died after it lunged forward. Took 2 attempts to restart car and had to rev the engine to move from blocking intersection. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | I've been having intermediate issues with my 2022 Ford Edge starting and leaving me stranded with no warning signs. Its been to (2) dealers to be serviced ( Avis Ford & Suburban Ford of Waterford) both dealers have been unable to diagnose the issue. My vehicle only have 26000 miles and is still under manufactures warranty. I leased to prevent such issues and have been left in unsafe circumstances numerous times and not that the Summer weather has begun, I'm afraid that myself with server Asthma will be left along side a road or parking lot with no air conditioning as my vehicle wont start. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2023 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES | Unintended Hands-Free Liftgate Activation: When standing next to or loading items into the rear cargo area the lift gate will begin to close on its own. On two occassions I have been hit on the head and also on my shoulder. No injuries were incurred. This is a random occurance. The issue has been reported to the Ford delership, McDonald Ford in Freeland MI, on several occasions. The most recent being April 13, 2023. The service advisor presented me with a Ford bulletin, SSM 51360, which states "This is a normal condition and repairs are not necessary." I feel that this is a safety issue, especially for seniors who may not be able to react as quickly as I did in order to avoid injury. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | STRUCTURE | I have had the liftgate lower unexpectedly in two separate incidents causing injury. The first happed two weeks ago at a filling station. I was exited the passenger side and walked behind the car to reach the pump. When I got to the pump I turned around to go back to get my wallet. At that moment I struck the liftgate and it cut my head because it had opened without warning and I turned directly into it. (I am 6'2" tall). The second time was today. I was putting groceries into the car and I turned to get more groceries from the cart. As I turned back towards the car, the liftgate was lowering without warning and clobbered me in the head again. I have a picture from today. While these are the only two occurrences that I was injured, there have been others where I was able to quickly catch the tailgate as it tried to close while I was standing there. In all of these cases I do not have my foot near the sensor. I will be calling the dealer tomorrow to make an appointment. This is very dangerous particularly for taller people. When the gate closes there is a faint sound coming from the front of the car but it is hard to hear when you are in a parking lot. This has been going on since purchase, but this month is the first time I was injured. | Crash: No Fire: No Injuries: 1 | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | VISIBILITY | Driving on highway, was not raining snowing or hailing and sunroof spontaneously shattered. Did not see any debris and was not driving behind a truck or car that had any loose debris. No obvious sign of impact, the sunshade is intact and was not damaged. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | The contact owns a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle operated as designed. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on three separate occasions while his wife was driving. On one occasion while making a turn, the vehicle stalled, nearly causing a crash with another vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to identify cause of the failure. The mechanic found no failure with the vehicle. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 4,000 |
| Jan 2023 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | The contact leased a 2022 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, that she smelled a burning and chemical odor inside the cabin of the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be determined. The contact stated that the technician was informed that the odor was a burn-off odor; however, the contact was concerned for her safety. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 183,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 183,000 |
| Dec 2022 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | The day after purchasing my new 2022 Ford Edge, I was driving from the grocery store when I noticed a clacking sound. I stopped the car and looked around and under the car. It appeared that a metal band that held up a tank was dragging on the ground. I drove half a mile to my home and called my car dealer. He instructed me to drive the car to the Ford service department, about 5 miles away. I am presently waiting to receive a report from the service department.I am concerned that this is an example of a quality control failure and that it was an unreasonable safety risk to drag a gas tank full of fuel on the road. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
