May 2026 ENGINE The coolant control valve or ccv failed. Initially it caused coolant to leak and the trucks fans would run on high even when the truck was turned off. The truck would sporadically raise temp and de rate the engine. Now the check engine light comes on with the engine being de rated. This is similar to the other 21 and 22 year model that Chevrolet has warrantied. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown

May 2026 POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES All kinds of warning signals come up like 4 wheel drive on, off, roll up and down driver window, no brake pads detected, no washer fluid, service esc, service 4 wheel drive, traction control on and off, radio blacks out, lights dim, feels like rear wheels lock up and release, transmission feels like it's going to shake out of the truck. Dealership sold it like this and was sent back to be fixed and they said it was fixed and I was just stuck with it. They said they fixed the recalls and in fact did not Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM On May 17th, my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (mileage: 38,628) suffered a catastrophic mechanical failure resulting in an immediate and total loss of motive power while traveling at highway speeds on I-465. Diagnostic testing confirmed DTC P129F, identifying a failure of the Fuel Pump Driver Control Module. The failure occurred while positioned in the fifth lane of a six-lane interstate. This was not a gradual loss of performance; it was an instantaneous shutdown that left the vehicle without engine power or standard steering/braking assistance in high-density, high-speed traffic. This defect placed all six passengers in immediate and imminent peril. To reach the shoulder, we were forced to navigate a dead vehicle across four lanes of active traffic, resulting in multiple near-miss collisions. The danger continued as we were stranded on the narrow shoulder of a major interstate. For our own safety, five passengers had to evacuate the vehicle on foot, crossing a busy two-lane exit ramp to reach a location where an Uber could safely retrieve them. I remained with the vehicle until it could be towed to Leo Chevrolet. General Motors is clearly aware of this defect, as evidenced by Recall Bulletin #N252516900. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 POWER TRAIN The 2022 Chevy Silverado I own is having same problems with transmission as is the models indicated on the recall. This truck doesn’t show up on the recall and has transmission shuddering hard shifting and at times doesn’t respond as normal. This truck also underwent the 6.2 motor recall and had a new motor added. And passed the required inspection. My question is why is this 2022 Chevy Silverado with the 10 speed transmission not on the recall when it is shaking the same symptoms as others on the recall. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 POWER TRAIN Truck started shifting rough and lurching when sitting still or coming to a stop. Limp mode was engaging and limiting power to unsafe conditions at highway speeds. Check engine turned on, valve body failed Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 POWER TRAIN MY ENGINE IS MAKING NOISE, CHEVY ONLY CHANGED THE OIL, AND NOW I HAVE TO PAY $200 TO GET A OIL CHANGE cHEVY TOLD ME BECAUSE NOW IT NEEDS SPECIAL OIL IN A 6.2 MOTOR!! Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 POWER TRAIN Truck started shifting rough and lurching when sitting still or coming to a stop. Limp mode was engaging and limiting power to unsafe conditions at highway speeds. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 ENGINE I was accelerating to onto the freeway to merge and my engine suddenly made a loud noise and my vehicle immediately lost power and the dashboard alert lights began going off to service engine. I was able to get to the edge of the highway and make it to the next exit to slowly make my way back to my office to have my vehicle towed to a garage. Luckily I had not fully merged into traffic when my vehicle suddenly slowed. There was heavy semi-truck traffic which they would not have been able to avoid rear ending me. The garage confirmed that a cylinder blew causing the drastic drop in power and speed. It has since been towed to the dealership to have their service team diagnose the issue after my usual independent mechanic had found the problem.

May 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE Phantom radio, screen changes and saves pre-programmed stations by itself and doesn't response to toch or buttons. When turning vehicle off start buttons stays lit for a long period of time and prevents you from locking the doors and causes the horn to beep twice if you exit thee vehicle prior to igniting start light going off. Also headlights will stay on also until start button light turns off. On several occasions the rear tail gate opened automatically. I'm now hearing rod ir lifter noises upon starting vehicle Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 ENGINE Camshaft and lifters and push rods Crash: No Fire: No Unknown
May 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER The rear window slider is made of plastic. Water gets in here then freezes creating a crack which water can then leak inside the vehicle. The water could very easily drip behind the back seat and get on electrical components and potentially start a fire. There are many cases of this happening to other people which can be seen on a google search or a question in a social media group of others with the same vehicle. The vehicle was brought to a dealership for repairs, the bulletin from GM just says to put some silicon in the crack. It can and typically does just crack in a different location. Called Chevy and was basically told we will not do anything unless there is a recall.

May 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE 6.2L engine had complete loss of power while traveling down the highway. Vehicle began to drive rough snd dash suddenly said shift to neutral which I did. After shifting back to drive I had to coast to a shoulder and wait for a tow truck. During repairs vehicle was returned after 6 weeks and engine replacement. 24 hours after receiving vehicle I hit the push to start and vehicle was dead. Replaced battery and lights came one. Hit push to start and it killed all power. Towed back to dealer. They checked connections and tightened box on top of battery and returned vehicle. 72 hours later check engine light came on and vehicle went into limp mode. Drove it back to dealer. After a week they located chaffed wiring on the harness leading to transmission. Was told it is a common problem on the 6.2L engines. Crash: No Fire: No Unknown

May 2026 FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM I was driving with trailer attacked coming from [XXX] , in the middle of the overseas highway (a two lane steet) the truck loss power and stalled and would not start. I was only able to move slightly to the side, with half the trailer with boat still sitting in the road. My family was on board and I am alive and an accident didn't happen. I called a tow truck (took an hour to get to me) and charged me $520 for the tow. The tow truck driver said that he had to tow several chevrolet trucks with the same issue and it was a faulty fuel module. I had a mechanic run a diagnostic and the Code P129F commonly indicates a failure of the Fuel Pump Driver Control Module (FPDM) was the one coming out. I have read many customer experiencing the same issue. And in my case my trucks 3 year warranty expired November 2025 only 6 months ago. May 2026 POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Vehicle developed engine ticking/tapping noise followed by rough running and misfire condition. Independent repair facility performed engine teardown and found cylinder 4 exhaust camshaft lobe severely worn/damaged. Repair facility stated the exhaust roller follower/lifter needle bearings failed and fell out, causing the roller to seize and come off position, resulting in improper valve operation and cylinder malfunction. Vehicle lost proper engine performance and required major internal engine repair including camshaft, lifters/lash adjusters, and roller followers. Failure appears consistent with GM Preliminary Information bulletin PIP5847B for 2019–2024 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 2.7L L3B engines describing exhaust roller follower bearing failure and camshaft damage. Concern is that sudden valvetrain failure could result in loss of power, engine failure, or unsafe driving condition.

May 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM am writing to formally request an investigation and potential recall regarding a serious and increasingly reported issue affecting certain Chevrolet trucks. Numerous owners have experienced a malfunction in which the vehicle fails to properly recognize that it has been placed in park. As a result, the truck may remain running and not fully shut off, even after the driver has exited the vehicle. This presents a concerning safety risk not only to the owner but also to others nearby. This issue is not isolated. A growing number of drivers have shared similar experiences across various social media platforms, demonstrating that this may be a widespread defect rather than individual mechanical failures. Many of these reports include videos and firsthand accounts showing trucks remaining on, displaying incorrect gear status, or failing to power down as expected. The consistency of these reports suggests a systemic problem that warrants immediate attention. The safety implications of this defect are significant. A vehicle that does not properly register being in park can increase the risk of unintended movement, potential rollaways, or prolonged engine operation. This could lead to property damage, injury, or worse, especially in residential or high-traffic areas. Additionally, a truck that remains running unattended raises concerns about theft and unnecessary emissions. Given the potential dangers and the volume of public complaints, I respectfully urge the NHTSA to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter. If a defect is confirmed, I strongly encourage the issuance of a recall to ensure that affected vehicles are properly repaired. Thank you for your time and consideration of this important safety concern.
