Jan 2023 STRUCTURE While driving on a highway at 70 mph the hood unlocked and was caught by the safety latch. It is available for inspection. My safety was at extreme risk. Loosing the ability to see out of my windshield had the safety latch failed could have been catastrophic. This could have caused a crash at highway speeds from the sudden inability to see where I was driving. The problem has not been reproduced but should be confirmed by the trucks data system. A hood unsafe message appeared on my dash screen. The latch has not been inspected yet as this happened last night. There was no prior indication or warning that the hood would come unlocked.

Jan 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EQUIPMENT Speaker Issue: When starting the truck, after about 3 seconds of sitting in the truck, the speakers made a really loud pop noise and then continued to make a loud static noise and cracking noise for the duration of my 15 minute drive home. If this happened on the freeway, it may traumatize someone or cause an accident. The problem has happened twice but it is not been replicable for a dealer or service center. The truck has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance reps. I read online that this is happening to a lot of 2021+ F-150s with the B & O Unleashed 18 Speaker sound package. Please recall this, it is the most dangerous speaker issue I have ever heard.

Jan 2023 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Trailer brake system fault. This fault warning displays when there is a possible lack of trailer brakes. On this vehicle it is on every time the vehicle starts. It began after the recall for the trailer brake module update in June of 2022. It has been to the servicing dealership 4 times and has been there for the past 23 days without resolution. There are many other accounts of this situation on-line also with no resolution.

Jan 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER I have contacted the dealership several times and was told i am on the waiting list for over 6 months. my windshild wipers stopped working last week in a storm and had to stop along a highway to hand clear my windshield so i could make it home. finally i got the windshield wiper to work in the fastes mode but then the whole windshield wiper came off on the drivers side... I was out of town and called other dealerships near by and was told i need to bring it to them to see and then ford would have to approve and it would be 3 months from then until they get the part. i moved the windshield wiper to the driver side and had to hand turn it on each time to make it work. i went to dealership today and was told the 1st appointment to check it was in 6 months...and then they would order it. i was told to park my car because it was not safe to drive. but no loaner car was available. and my car is no longer uder warranty.... none of my other recalls have been addressed by ford

Jan 2023 VISIBILITY/WIPER NHTSA Recall 22V142. This has been too long for "getting the parts." I called a Ford dealer today and was told there is no ETA on parts. I reached out on 10/19/2022, but that isn't when we were first contacted. The longer it gets "put off" the more we feel like we are jeopardizing our safety. God forbid, if something happened either to us OR another driver/person. We are frustrated with the process. Thank you for your time. * as I read further... just because nothing has happened doesn't mean a lot.

Dec 2022 STRUCTURE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DOOR CLOSING FAILURE. Both front door lock actuators malfunction below 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Rear doors of the crew cab are unaffected. The moving parts of the mechanism are not frozen and there is no water in the system. The lock actuator will not engage the clamp/pin mechanism to hold the door closed, even though the movable parts are freely moving. this happens whenever the temperature is below 10 degrees. In order to get out of the car you need to exit the rear door or climb out the window. Once the door does open, it will not securely latch in position. The Certified Ford dealership informed me that this is a "known problem" with the F150 and there is no known repair.

Dec 2022 POWER TRAIN The axle bolt sheared off at some point since the last tire rotation. The truck has approximately 55,000 miles on the odometer and the last tire rotation was performed at 35,000 miles. Somewhere in the 35,000 to 55,000 mile time frame the bolt on the end of the axle sheared off. When the wheel was removed at 55,000 miles the bolt head and washer fell out. The only thing that has been done to the rear wheels are tire rotations. No other maintenance that would require the hub or brake assembly to be removed has been performed.
