| Dec 2024 | SEAT BELTS | The contact owns a 2021 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while parked, the front passenger seat belt did not latch. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was advised that the part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure was approximately 85,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 85,000 |
| Oct 2024 | SERVICE BRAKES | I was stopping at a yellow light and the brakes were slow to respond nearly resulting in a collision with the car stopped in front. I initially attributed this to wet brakes since it was raining heavily and I had only gone a short distance. I returned home without further incidence. The next morning my wife took the car and nearly drove into traffic after the car was slow to stop leaving the subdivision. I had the car towed to the dealer, they said the brake booster had failed and that brake booster part is on back order and wouldn't available until the end of October or early November. The car is 3 years old with 25,000 miles. I think the parts back order status may be the result of unexpected demand because of a high failure rate. The dealer said the part in question is a common component used on many different Ford models. I'm not aware of any work stoppage or surge in vehicle demand that would account for the part shortage. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Aug 2024 | FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | [XXX] [XXX] As you can see in the links above this has been a issue with the purge valve for the Edge . this problem is so ignorable to the driver because they will junk the car and resale it. I cant because i signed papers to buy this Edge I could have did another lease. I decided to buy my this Edge 2021out of 4 Edges Ive leased and this one I should have not bought my(2021). Buying this one with low miles 22,335, and at the most ten days later this particular part (purge valve) not even an opportunity to shop around for a extended warranty went bad. Its not only a problem for ford but then the Lincoln Nautilus that vehicle shows it holds its value $30,000 or more I also consider this vehicle as well during my purchasing process. I convinced my sister to lease her second Corsair 2024. And family of dedicated ford owners ford 150's its hard for me to not tell them this is and issue. my mother scheduled her appointment weeks down late August 2024 for recall her 2021 and the purge valve. The purge valve should have extended the recall to 2021's Edge and others. Im out diagnostic fees, labor, to fix it almost $900.... that is ridiculous INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

| Jan 2024 | FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING | I was driving the Ford Edge and the roads were a little slick so I was driving very slow. I was about 2 blocks from my house when I needed to engage the brakes to come to a complete stop, which happened to be going downhill toward a stop sign that intersected with a freeway off ramp. Both the brakes and ABS failed to engage and I hit a guard rail across the intersection. This caused significant damage to my vehicle and was very lucky that no one was hurt. The "Check Brake System" only came up after I ran into the guard rail, which was also the only time I needed to fully engage the brake to come to a full stop. The shop confirmed that the accident would not have damaged the brakes. | Crash: Yes Fire: No Towed | Unknown |

| May 2023 | POWER TRAIN | My 2021 Ford Edge SEL with 22,000 miles on it, bought new less than 2 years ago, would intermittently show a warning notification on the dash saying “AWD temporarily disabled”. The car drove different when the warning came on. It was slow to accelerate and more difficult to turn. It happened twice in a span of 2 months. I brought it to the dealer and they diagnosed it as a “faulty rear differential”. They told me this is a known Ford issue and directed me to a service bulletin put out by Ford regarding this issue stating Ford is aware. My car did not have normal warning signs- no noises, no vibration, no smell, and I would have never known something was wrong if the warning didn’t pop up those two random times. I was told if the equipment failed while driving, the car could’ve seized up and wouldn’t move. They acknowledged that this is a real safety concern as there were no issues with the car except when the AWD disabled itself temporarily. The car drove normal when it started working again not long after. My car will have been at the dealer 6 days by the time I get it back, estimating about $1500 in repairs (thank you warranty). The car is serviced and maintained regularly and well cared for. This should NOT have happened and put mine and my family’s safety at risk. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2023 | SERVICE BRAKES | 2021 Edge- 2 week old car and when braking, car started to shake and there was a thumping voice. I got home, barely, to find the brake pads loose on the driver side rear. It was towed to the dealer and found to have a loose caliper that needed to be replaced and fixed. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2023 | POWER TRAIN | When driving on a dry, paved side street, the ABS was “temporarily disabled” per the notification on the screen. Additionally the large display screen to control the radio, Bluetooth and temperature settings was black not working. The USB and USBc were also not working. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2023 | BACK OVER PREVENTION | The contact owns a 2021 Ford Edge. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V151000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the rear-view camera displayed a distorted image. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to perform the recall repair due to the module configuration data being missing from the Ford server. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 15,130. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | 15,130 |
