| Jun 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM | Whenever I’m driving in my vehicle everything seems to be fine until I stop at a red light. On three separate occasions, while my vehicle is stopped it will automatically go into neutral and stall. This causes my truck not to run properly. I have to shut my car off, and then turn it back on to put it in drive and operate it like normal. I’m unsure what my cars issue is but it is an inconvenience and a safety concern due to it keeps happening while in traffic. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | My rear camera failed again. The vehicle was recalled for rear camera failures and a supposed better cable was installed. In less than a year it failed again. So I once again are without a rear camera even though it was recalled and repaired. The repair apparently didn't work. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | In then last 6 months my Honda Ridgeline fell to restart engine at the stoplight 7 times | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jun 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | In response to a recall for the possible failure of the rear camera, I had the Honda dealership make the repair. Upon receiving my vehicle, I noticed that the wiring bundle had numerous small gauge wires exposed. I photographed them and corresponded with the dealership. They said they’d rectify my concerns. After visiting the dealership again for yet another recall concerning front passenger seat sensors, I was informed that the wiring issue was standard Honda practice and I should contact Honda. I filed a complaint with Honda and I just heard from them by phone and I was told they don’t consider exposed wires running from the bed to a tailgate a safety concern. I had checked two additional model years of the Honda Ridgeline(22 and 25) and found the same unshielded situation. Certainly a design flaw and a safety situation. Honda intends to do nothing although there is an active recall for rear camera failures. A truck bed is used to carry all kinds of things and unprotected wiring to vital components is unacceptable. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | ENGINE | Regarding 2020 Honda Ridgeline, we have two issues. In December 2024, the auto stop / start feature started working intermittently and then a few months later ceased to work entirely ceased to work. In May 2025, we got two error messages on the dashboard. One was for transmission error. The second was for emissions error. There were no apparent mechanical issues with the truck shifting gears when we brought it to our local mechanic 2 miles away and to the dealer approximately 5 miles away. We brought it to our local mechanic who said it was the solenoid in the transmission and would cost around $7000 for parts and labor since Honda didn't sell only the brain and we would have to purchase the entire transmission. We brought it to Norm Reeves Honda (the largest Honda dealer in the United States) who confirmed this root cause mentioning "MIL" and "Solenoid" specifically. Norm Reeves Service Technician said it would cost around $9000 parts and labor. We logged a case #15593XXX with Honda Motor Corporation who auto-responded to our email saying, "Please note, due to a recent influx of inquiries, our response time will be delayed. Please do not submit multiple inquiries as this can lead to further delays in case handling." An internet search for Honda Ridgeline Service Bulletins uncovered Service Bulletin #A23-091 for what sounds like one of these two issues. It has been more than 3 days since the "inquiry" to Honda and we have yet to receive any response. Norm Reeves said they will start to charge us a storage fee of $35 USD a day if we do not pick up the vehicle by Saturday EOD. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| May 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | My auto start/stop wouldn’t restart my car in traffic. I ran the battery down trying to restart it and finally had to jump it off | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER,ENGINE | Reference Investigation: EA25004, No Restart After Auto Start/Stop Engages 2 separate instances 1st instance during stop and go driving on highway in heavy traffic, engine failed to restart automatically after full stop, message stating something about neutral appeared, unsure exactly what message stated. I had to shift to park and hold the brake down for a normal start. 2nd instance 2 weeks after 1st 04/04/2025 while stopped at a traffic light engine failed to Auto start - same result as above (1st incident) | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Apr 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE | Sunday March 23, 2025 vehicle would not restart after the auto engine idle shut off feature turned off the engine. Attempted to restart several time with no success. Vehicle finally did restart when jumped the battery. Could be a safety hazard being stuck in traffic. Have not reported to dealer but will on next scheduled service. No warning lamps indicated a problem but every lamp on the dash console lit up when attempting to restart. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | On two occasions the vehicles auto start/stop system has shut off the truck and not restarted it after releasing of the brake. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | ENGINE | I've had the start stop issue not function multiple times. I had to replace the battery did the software update for it and it still does not start occasionally. I have to restart the vehicle like if it was parked. Stalling on a light is why I no longer use this feature, I just press on the start stop button every single time I start the engine. This has happened multiple times throughout the years. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Mar 2025 | ENGINE | The Autostart does not work. This has happened to me three times since I bought it brand new in April 2021. I have taken it to Honda for repairs and they did nothing as they could not replicate the issue. Just happened again on March 24th after driving 10 minutes on the highway. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | Since buying this vehicle new, on multiple occasions the automatic braking system has come on approaching other vehicles on a straight stretch of highway even when both I and the approaching vehicle are nowhere near the center line or anywhere near an accident situation. I reported this to the dealership in the first six months after purchase and was told nothing was wrong. The frequency of this happening seems to be increasing. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | ENGINE | Checked oil display at 40% on 04JAN2025, had to put in 2.5 qts 0-40 viscosity engine oil to get between bottom and top level markers on the oil dipstick. On 08AN2025 at approx 4:35AM, on the way home, heard engine noise (like 2-spoons tapping together) and within 1-minute the engine died and will not start, just a click. Had the vehicle towed to my residence (approx .5 mile) and parked for 3-weeks to check if battery, bad gas, and/or transmission neutral safety is/are the issue(s). Finally got the vehicle towed to a local shop on 29JAN2025. Called local shop on 31JAN2025 and informed that there is no oil in the engine, and recommended to replace the engine. Note: oil/filter changed on MAY2024, and have purchased oil/filter on 07JAN2025 to change oil as soon as the oil displays 30% | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Feb 2025 | ENGINE | The contact owns a 2020 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. | Crash: No Fire: No | 50,000 |
| Feb 2025 | UNKNOWN OR OTHER | How long should it take for repairs on the recall items? I have not received info from Honda, and a call to a local dealership has done nothing except being told "we'll call you when the parts are in." First recall was 1 year ago, the other 9 months ago. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | Stopping behind another vehicle. My vehicle engine was off because it was in ASD((automatic shutdown mode).Vehicle ahead moves forward. Immediately the dashboard says vehicle ahead has moved. Depressing the gas pedal the vehicle will not move forward. It does not come out of ASD. Message on dash says SHIFT TO PARK. Then I have to restart my vehicle The delay of moving is a safety hazard to me and obviously an irritant to the traffic behind me at least. Perhaps more than that. This has happened more than a few tmes | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE | While driving on the highway truck pressed brakes without any obstacles near or in front of me. This event has happened more than once as of late. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Jan 2025 | ENGINE | After significant time (hours) at highway speeds with 90% cruise control use, the car, when stopped at exit intersection, goes to fractional power with the engine light flashing. The car can still move haltingly at approximately 5 mph. Once safety stopped and shut-off, car will restart without any check engine light and will function normally. This has happened on multiple occasions, in both hot and cold weather. When mentioned to the dealer 2 years ago, said they had never heard of the problem. Internet forums show mine is not an isolated instance. When the car fails, it is in an intersection, where cars coming from all sides are not expecting a car to limp through at 5mph. This is a safety to issue to anyone on the road at the time. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | WHEELS,UNKNOWN OR OTHER | I took my 2020Honda Ridgeline for tire rotation at a costco tire center and they reported that the hub and wheel mating surface are heavily corroded and that it will be dangerous to drive. I called the Honda Customer Hotline and they told me that I have to take it to body shop and get it fix with my own money. Same thing they told me at Honda Mossy Lemon Grove that corrosion and rust are not warranted by Honda. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
| Dec 2024 | ENGINE | I have had an engine knocking noise at startup but now is continuous/constant. Diagnosed at my local Honda dealer as a connecting rod failure of my well maintained 2020 Honda Ridgeline. Recommended repair, short block replacement or engine replacement with a used engine. My 2020 Honda Ridgeline is not part of the safety recall for the connecting rod bearing recall and should be. I have read numerous stories of owners with Honda Ridgelines and Pilots that are outside the recall years with this failure. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |

The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000. Parts distribution disconnect. | Crash: No Fire: No | 3,000 |

| Oct 2024 | ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE,BACK OVER PREVENTION | Scheduled my vehicle for recall related to the tailgate/camera/rear area warning system harness replacement for today 10-15-2024 after two notices. Upon arriving for my appointment, I learned that the dealer, Voyles Honda Marietta, GA does not have the parts, nor can they provide a time/date when parts would be available. Further, the Service Manager, Marvin, said the same parts issue is present with a fuel pump and electric steering campaign currently released. From prior involvement with many heavy truck campaign recalls, I know the O.E.M. Is required to have adequate repair parts to satisfy the released safety recall. In the previously noted Honda recalls this requirement is ignored by the manufacturer placing safety concern on the public, stressing dealers, and forcing vehicle owners to operate defective vehicles because parts to repair are not available, nor is there an expected date when they will be. Responses like “on manufacturer back order “ is not acceptable for a released National Safety Recall. Honda Corporate needs to be held accountable and owners need to be compensated for their inconvenience. Maybe restrict Honda from selling more vehicles until ALL safety campaigns are completed. NHTSA, check your records on Honda’s completion performance and take appropriate actions. | Crash: No Fire: No | Unknown |
