I WAS USING ALL OF MY STRENGTH TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FROM TAKING OFF ACROSS LANES OF TRAFFIC. I CALLED HONDA NORTH AMERICA AND WAS ESSENTIALLY DISMISSED AS I WAS TOLD TO JUST TURN OFF MY LANE MITIGATION SYSTEM, WITH NO EXPLANATION OR APPARANT CARE ABOUT WHAT I HAD GONE THROUGH. THIS IS THE 3RD RECALL HAVING TO DO WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I BELIEVE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ISSUES ARE WHAT DAMAGED THE BATTERY AND THAT HONDA SHOULD PAY TO REPLACE THE BATTERY AND FIX THE DOOR ISSUE. BECAUSE IT IS ABOUT 1500 MILES OUT OF WARRANTY, HONDA WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIRS. I AM GETTING AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO WEIGH IN. I JUST SAW THERE WAS A RECALL IN MAY 2019 FOR LOOSE BATTERY CONNECTORS. I NEVER RECEIVED THIS RECALL AND AM TRYING TO DETERMINE IF MY VIN WAS EXCLUDED, AND IF SO, WHY. MY WINDSHIELD SHATTERED FROM THE HEAT. THIS CAR WAS LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD, 37,000 MILES ON IT. IT WAS BOUGHT AND SERVICE LOS REGULARLY AT THE DEALERSHIP. THERE IS NO REASON WHY THE CAR WOULD JUST COMBUST OUT OF THE BLUE. CALLED HONDA OF AMERICA WITH NO AVAIL. AND REFUSAL OF ANY INVESTIGATION.
