Buyer interpretation
The useful question is not just whether this page has records. It is what those records should make you verify before money changes hands.
There are 8 official recalls listed for this model year. Before buying, use the VIN to confirm which campaigns are still open and ask for dealer repair records on completed work.
Owner complaints most often mention visibility/wiper, steering, suspension, unknown or other. Scan those categories before the test drive so you know what symptoms, warning lights, or service history to ask about.
91 manufacturer communications are listed. These are not recalls, but they can reveal repair instructions, warranty extensions, software notices, or known service patterns.
The fuel-cost estimate is based on a representative EPA match, not every trim. Confirm the actual engine, drivetrain, and tire setup before comparing this listing with another year or model.
Use our buyer checklist to know what to inspect, ask, and verify before the test drive.

| May 2026 | Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions | SUSPENSION | Some 20242025 Explorer vehicles built on 01-Feb-2024 and through 31-Jul-2024 may exhibit a rattle/clunk/knock noise from the front suspension at low speeds between 830 mph (1348 km/h) over harsh/uneven pavement such as cracks and small bumps while driving straight (not while turning). This condition may be due to a loose pressure tube within the front strut assembly and may be present in either front strut. In some cases, a louder noise from one strut can mask a lesser noise from the opposite strut, which may result in only one strut being replaced and a repeat visit if the other strut later becomes apparent. When diagnosing, evaluate both front struts for the concern. To repair, replace the affected front strut(s) as necessary. For claiming, use causal part 18124 and labor operation 18124A (one side) or 18124AT (both sides). If the noise persists, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 204-01 for normal diagnostics. | 11032690 |

The vehicle may be unable to enter electric-only drive modes as expected during normal drive cycles. This may be due to the software within the belt integrated starter generator (BISG). For vehicles with this condition, follow Pinpoint Test I: Battery Isolation/Voltage Stabilization Control Circuit Carry Outance located in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-06D and repair the vehicle as necessary. Note that the BISG is on backorder status at the time of this publication and Ford is working to make parts available. Engineering is investigating this concern. Monitor PTS for updates. | 11032565 |

Diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) B3A1B, P0113, P0217, and/or P0480 may be stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to poor engine compartment ground connections at G105, G107, G111 and/or G122. Refer to the Wiring Diagram (WD) > Grounds Cell 010 > Pages 2, 3, 7 and 8. Prior to any Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics, verify all listed grounds are tightened to 62 lb-in (7 Nm) to resolve this condition.
