The integrated park module may fail to lock into the park position when the driver shifts into park. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention." A loss of park function can allow the vehicle to rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash. The Secondary On Board Diagnostic Module C (SOBDMC) software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed May 20, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated in June 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C69. 25V862000 SEAT BELTS:REAR/OTHER:RETRACTOR Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Corsair and Escape vehicles. The seat belt retractors for the left and right rear passenger seats may not be securely fastened. An improperly secured seat belt retractor may not restrain an occupant as intended, increasing the risk of injury during a crash. Dealers will inspect and secure, or replace the seat belt retractor bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 26, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C68. May 2026 Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions POWER TRAIN Some 2023-2026 Escape vehicles equipped with an 8F35 transmission may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0767, P0766 and/or P2703 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) and harsh/no reverse engagement. This may be due to the selectable one-way clutch (SOWC). To correct the condition, remove the transmission. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) > Section 307-01. Disassemble the transmission only far enough to access the SOWC. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01 > Overhaul and perform Steps 34-66. Remove the SOWC assembly, disassemble the A-clutch and discard the SOWC. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01 > Overhaul and perform Steps 164-170. Assemble the new SOWC with the A-clutch components. Refer to WSM, Section 307-01 > Overhaul and perform Steps 173-179. The A-clutch seals can be reused unless damaged. Install the new SOWC and reverse the procedure to reassemble the transmission. The white or gray engine icons are a normal function of the vehicles hybrid display and do not indicate that there is a malfunction and no service actions are necessary to address it. Sometimes, this may be perceived/felt as an engine misfire. This may be due to the torque converter. If Pinpoint Test K: Torque Converter Clutch Operation in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01 > Diagnosis and Testing > Diagnosis by Symptom directs to replace the torque converter, remove and replace the torque converter and torque converter seal. Apr 2026 Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM Some 2025-2026 Escape/Maverick/Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with an 8-inch instrument panel cluster (IPC) display may exhibit a condition where the fuel gauge displays up to the 8th mark below full fuel level when the fuel tank is full. This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected by the end of Q3 2026. Replacement/reprogramming of the IPC will not resolve this condition. Monitor PTS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. If this condition is encountered, enter a vehicle identification number (VIN) and click the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the PTS "Vehicle ID" screen.
