The door strikers may have been improperly welded and break, allowing the door to open while moving. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components." A door that opens unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion increases the risk of injury or a crash. Dealers will replace the door strikers, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's numbers for this recall are PD185 and PMA61. Aug 2024 Service Bulletin/Repair Instructions ELECTRICAL SYSTEM *****Dealer Announcement***** To ensure continued customer satisfaction and confidence, Nissan is now updating the temporary hold on specific model year 2025 Altima vehicles identified in Service Comm to a dealer inventory quality action to update the software to the Body Control Module (BCM). On affected vehicles, the battery can potentially be drained due to the BCM waking up periodically when ignition is off. Affected vehicles are subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. *****What Dealers Should Do***** PLEASE FOLLOW THE ATTACHED INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this quality action using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaigns I.D. PD124 • New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign).  Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information • Some vehicles may still be in transit. Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for applicability. 2. Please do not drive, loan, sell or trade the specific vehicles in dealer inventory subject to this quality action. 3.
